To the OP. TCoS is not a fair comparison as that is more of a PvE game. I does have pvp but primarily not it's main focus. MO though Is looking solid now, and compared to what DF looks like from the latest vids... yuck, no thanks. I don't thin Darkfall can survive its own launch. Competition won't be in question by the time MO comes out, because Darkfail will be long dead.
I was more optimistic about Darkfall back then. But as of currently, I would be more inclined to agree with your viewpoint.
I'd say it's a little unlikely that MO will release this summer when they just finished alpha two months ago, but, assuming it releases with all its planned features, I think it will do better than DF, the main reason being better graphics... why play the same game with worse graphics? Although MO might have trouble getting some of DF fans since they'll already have established characters in DF, but that doesn't seem to stop many people from trying out new games so who knows?
As for TCoS... doesn't seem like as much of a direct competitor as MO
TCoS is already dead in the water, for all intents and purposes. Almost no paying subs in the countries it's already released in, most people who bypassed the proxy to try the trial have said it isn't worth paying for and have walked away, and the NA launch by Acclaim will be received poorly, since most who were waiting for it have already forgotten about it. Not to mention those who won't pay because Acclaim is the one running it.
So comparing an already failed game with a game that has a high failure potential, but hasn't failed yet since it hasn't been released anywhere, doesn't make much sense.
It cracks me up when I see DF slappy's talk down about another in production mmo like MO. Calling MO vaporware and talking crap about the dev team lol. At least MO seems to update more frequently. I hope both games come out but if DF doesn't launch on the 22 I'm all in for MO.

But on a more serious note yes it is actually funny to see all the people that defended Darkfall so vigorously against anyone mentioning the term "vaporware" calling him "troll,hater,naysayer etc.", now bashing a game with plenty of similarities to their own calling it "vaporware" thus becoming the "trolls,haters,naysayers etc".
Just a quick bit of info: Sweden may be "smaller" population wise than Greece, which is a small population country itself.... yet Iceland has 300,000 people.... and is the home of CCP, makers of probably the most successful "indy" MMO out there, Eve Online.

A huge part of the school system in Sweden is now dedicated to gaming, as it is noted as the new thing..Its really HUGE in Sweden..
So basically you have no clue at all..
But on the other hand that does not automatically mean that Mortal Online will be succesful...But I can with ease say that the gaming industry is far greater in Sweden than a country like Greece..
