I predict a rapid growth to 12 million players for Wow in the beginning of 2009

As much as i would love to see WoW continue to grow, i highly doubt it. The state of the economy is getting worse. Lets just hope unemployment doesnt hit 20% or more!

At least if someone is able to pull it off, its Blizzard. They know the buisness inside out. The game is getting more and more casual friendly. *cough* more money *cough*

So yes, if anyone can get through the financial crisis, it must be Blizzard.

Do you have anything to support this?   I thought the actual topic at hand was the exact opposite, but you seem to doubt everything from subs numbers to xfire and anything along those lines by simply chosing to dismiss them out of hand.

Right now there is plenty of indicators that the game is still growing.  From official press releases, new servers being added, login ques, top ten list of pc software sales and so forth.  What would make you speak of rapid exodus?

Basically what I have heard from you is that you don't like wow and have elected yourself to speak for some unknown mass of people who are leaving.   You stated "fact is wow is becoming tiresome and people are already leaving."

Where do you get your facts from?  I'm curious, because anytime you get anywhere nead something that would validate your theories you replace that with insults towards anyone that questions your views.  What is it going to be:  back up what you say or just insult people all day?

I didn't know 9 people equaled all of WoW's population....

It is so very crasy to think to know how many players will have played wow soon, or not going to play wow at all. If by now no one will know then we are all just playing the guessing game.

That's exactly the kind of watered down gameplay most of us want to get away from in the first place. Who would you force that kind of living nightmare on the rest of us?

On the other hand thats a good example of the kind of mentality your up against arguing why wow is boring or no fun anymore, when the very game weakening watering down that we hate is loved and sought out by so many WoW casual players, and if there were another game to replace WoW I doubt they would stay at WoW rather in mass migrate to the next popular thing, be it DarkFall or whatever and forum moan until they ruined that for us to.

Anyway still 2009 still no 12 million players, I would hate to see morale drop when they finally release a loss in subs, which by the way  it's going now has to be happening. If they do somehow clear 12 million then it's definately a testament to marketing, but I can bet those new players are not returnees.

To make a long story short, yes World of Warcraft has definitely got more life to it than another year. Occasionally an MMO game gets build for a longer period than just the launch and a years after that (quick cashing). World of Warcraft is one of those.

I have never played World of Warcraft because the visual style and the typical European RPG things are just not for me. The gameplay could be wonderful, but I just can't stand all the rest of it. I grew up with Japanese single-player RPG's, maybe that's why. Ow well, to each their own :)
