What's with all the Darkfall hate?
With the release of so much leaked information, and MOST of the beta testers being pleased with what the game has shown them so much, why does it seem like there are so many people here still hating on DF. Or better yet, hoping that it will fail? Are you really so pathetic that you have to wish a game that so many people are hoping is a good time will suck? I dunno, maybe it makes me just as pathetic as they are to acknowledge that they exist, and I guess that is just the nature of forums these days, but it seems counter productive. If you don't think DF will be good, why not go watch another game that actually interests you, instead of being a troll?
Anyway, the leaked video's actually look good, the dev's seem to be getting there head on straight, and it seems like they patch bugs quite fast. I think they will have this game ready and playable soon.
Hope to see you non-trolls out and about in the world of Agon.

After being mislead time and again,I think after a time people just become bitter. I think the game just had way too much hype,then once people got to see the video leaks they realized the game wasn't going to meet their expectation.

And notice how the OP is always some no-name with 7 posts. The reason we are being bombarded with this propaganda is because Tasos game is so bad he and the dev team feel the need to defend it themselves right here on this forum.

Some games just aren't meant to be, expect alot of failure from games nowdays. I guess its in Bioware we trust for a real mmo. Darkfall has had the highest hype i've seen for ages too
i cant believe theres so many failed or unpopulated games out there.

Mourning and Dark and Light all look promosing in there beta, all had good leaks and most beta tester where happy. All had good videos out there with where nice.

Becouse this is a discussion forum. We are here to discuss released and unreleased games. However for a discussion you will be in need of poeple who seem to like the game (dubbed fanboys) and poeple who have a dislike for the game/production methodes or company (dubbed haters).
If you want a forum where poeple only speak good of games I suggest to make you own forum. Where you may only say good and happy things about games. THAT will be counter productive for a discussion forum actualy.
Not a hater, but I'm not gonna play DF, because of those vids... The graphics, effects and movement are plainly aweful, almost as if the engine is dated at least 5 years back or so (it feels a bit like the original Quake TBH).
If ppl wanna try DF, I wish them lost of fun & luck. I hope that DF is one of the newcomers that will make a difference and start some changes with the bigger developers as well, because we're now realy stuck with some *name-not-to-be-mentioned* market leader and all those copycats around it

Unless you want to call skeptisism or having a different opinion the same as hate. But the real hate topics are not that common anymore, and are probably all done by the same person anyway. Have a look at the join date, if someone posts pure hate then the chances are that he only just joined.

Nobody ever thought the game would have good graphics. All of the features seem to be there.
Maybe I just had really low expectations for the game (only seemed logical considering it's an indie game), but I've actually been satisfied with what I've seen so far.
I guess the true "delusional" people are the ones who thought Darkfall was going to look like Gears of War or some shit. Everybody else was expecting a "dated" looking indie game with some cool features and that seems to be what we're getting.
The trolls are trying to "rub it in" and say "i told you so" but quite honestly, it has no effect on my opinion of darkfall - are they trying to change my mind?

That's not true. I beta tested DnL (I don't know if it was open beta or I just happened to know a lot of testers) and we all agreed it was horrible.
As for Mourning, after the name change everyone could tell it had gone down hill. Hell, the Devs were saying in order to buy a house you had to PM them and have them build it for you. I'm pretty sure everyone completely lost faith in the game before it came out.
Darkfalls leaks have had more promising write-ups than both of those games combined.
I started following Darkfall a long time ago, but gave up after a month or so when I realized it was probably never coming out. I'd check in once and a while, but still figured it was never coming out. Since then, I've realized that when it does come out it's going to look like it belongs in 2003, but that's fine with me because there hasn't been a good MMO since the late 90s (UO).

Yes, there is. I was aware that Aventurine was a small company. So i couldent be disapponted. But in WAR, i had high hopes, since they had manpower to give me a good game. But they failed me.

well tbh,people have bashed war and aoc pretty hard too,and both of those games promised to reinvent the wheel..

Aye, but that is your reasoning and logic. It shouldnt have to apply to everyone who looks at a game. A dev team can have 300 members and still make a bad game. They shouldnt be held to a higher standard based on the amount of people in employment just as AV should be given a handicap for having less. If anything the amount of time AV spent on developement (a tad shy of a decade) should more than make up for the lack of employees.

I got a question...people keep making excuses. Saying things like it's a indie game...what are they going to charge? is the game going to be cheap...with a small or no monthly fee?
Because if they are trying to charge the same standard price as other MMO's 50$ for box,15$ a month then people have the right to compair it to it's competition and criticize the company.

To answer your question "How could you ever get dissapointed?": By your own hope that it will turn out okay anyway. You are right though that you can't be disappointed in Aventurine, but you can still be disappointed in the final product.

Actually, I think most of the so called "troll posts" are in direct retaliation for the" fan boi" posts who can see no wrong, and crap talk anyone who has a different opinion, and the total BS that Tasos has been spitting out for years and years now.
Most of it probably has absolutely nothing to do with the game, other than point out lies that the hard core fans refuse to see.

I call it like I see it. I don't care who the Developer is. I don't feel the need to suck up on the internet to money making businesses (developers). I ask the hard questions in the hope that people will think and question too.
Why? I want to play good games. Any telling ANY developer their game is 'perfect' does not get the developer to improve themselves or the game.
In PotBS I pointed out that the Travel Map IMHO was a killer (amongst other things) - and I said why.
In WAR after a week of Beta I questioned population balance (do a search in the WAR forum) - and I said why.
Here... do a search. I stand by what I have said.
