Before I got off topic my original thought on people wanting orcs, undead etc. to be sexy looking was that making them appeal to us more would just be humanizing them, Essentially killing the purpose that they are a different race.
As a female player I personally wasnt impressed with the looks of any of the females characters or the ability to create a unique looking character. The graphics were incredible throughout the game but the character creation leaves alot to be desired in my opinion.

the char creation was fine 4 me. had enough to choose from 4 the most part, sure its not as flashyas EQ2 and u cant detail some1s armpits...but WoW's char creation is still pretty freaken great

the char creation was fine 4 me. had enough to choose from 4 the most part, sure its not as flashyas EQ2 and u cant detail some1s armpits...but WoW's char creation is still pretty freaken great WoW's character customization might not be the most robust, but it's certainly more than adequate. I can't recall ever seeing any other character that looked like my twin--mostly because WoW has so many different types of gear and enough customization, unlike games like Lineage 2.

I was referring to the female character as this is what the post was originally about and since I didnt play any male characters, lol. I agree you can have a sense of uniquity through the armor variety, but I basically thought all the characters faces in a given race looked the same other than eye or hair color. The Taurens especially -- were basically different colored cows/bulls..lol.
I really think part of the appeal of an MMO to alot of people is the ability to create and play a unique persona, not necessarily 'pretty' but individualized.
Not sure if it is totally true or not, but I thought I had read in the ST forums that the char creation options would get updated before release. More priority right now is being placed on balance right now. More char looks is something that can be quickly added at any time..... I did not play any female chars or horde but I did notice a lack options when it came to make a unique looking char.

I think you're right. I saw a response from a Blizz rep saying that they will be working on adding more customization options for character creation.
