Hello all!
Recently me and a group of friends started working on a community website for typical PvP/PK/Griefer assholes and gentlemen. The goal of the website is provide a neutral community for the PvP gurus, griefing assholes, and clan organizations representing such people. We won't be focusing on any particular game, we want this place to become a piss and bragging fest for all PvPers across all games. Along with the forums, we'll cover and review all major MMO PvP game titles through our main website and personal blogs.
Currently we are looking for a number of staff volunteers to help us get this project on the feet. To make it all simple and neat, the forums will be using SMF forums and the core site will be managed through Joomla CMS. We find both systems simple, clean and easy to customize and mod.
If you'd like to join the team, PM me, and let me know what you can contribute. We need people with abilities to skin the Joomla/SMF parts, customize the website and proficiently write articles. The only thing we require is that you clearly have a PvP/PK history, and are not afraid of very minimally moderated community.
Seeing how this game turns out, we could add some specific Darkfall related forums and let it become a perfect alternative to the moderated Official Clan forums.
If you are interested, PM me here or register and contact me at the forums.

I don't know what it more ironic, the fact that you think this will be a neutral website, or the fact that you use Griefer and community in the same title.
My blog is a continuing story of what MMO's should be like.
So your the type of person that makes developers change games like UO back in the day.
You enjoy making a newbies life miserable to stroke your own pathetic ego. Your kind will also be responsible when Darkfall is changed like UO was.
It was exactly this type of mentality that caused a max exodus of players from UO and the only way to bring them back was for EA/Origin to make different realms so people were not griefed.
Oh it'll be very neutral! There certainly won't be any moderators spamming out bans and warnings when a member of community makes someone cry or posts an intriguing story of making a carebear /wrists in the game and in real life.
There are griefer communities, mainly in a form of clans. Now, if we can just have them all socialize on a non clan focused site, it'll be even more fun!

I agree 100%. Now, change that lil' caption under your picture. The CU and NGE were two different events so it can't be "The day..."
Fear not fanbois, we are not trolls, let's take off your tin foil hat and learn what VAPORWARE is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaporware
"Vaporware is a term used to describe a software or hardware product that is announced by a developer well in advance of release, but which then fails to emerge after having well exceeded the period of development time that was initially claimed or would normally be expected for the development cycle of a similar product."
WOW! The carebears are quick to cry and blame. You dont want to be pvp'd, dont roll on a pvp server or play a game that encourages it.

We are the kind of players who fight for a Sanbox, Open PvP enviroment. There is nothing more enjoyable in online gaming than knowing that someone else's life just got ruined because of his unhealthy addiction to pixels. As also mentioned, the community is mainly focused on Griefers as well as PKers and simple group oriented PvPers. There is something for all, but little for pixle loving and protection needy players.

Of course all the whining carebears have flocked to protest their outrage at how people enjoy being the bully.
Oh you're all so righteous. So high and mighty.
Warfare, is not fair. If you want to win, you use what ever tactics are at your disposal despite how cowardly or scumbag-ish they might seem.
I don't stroke my epeen when I kill a player significantly weaker then me. I just laugh at the hilarity of it all. I enjoy making people squirm, struggle, scream. I get kicks out of ragequiters, but I get even more satisfaction out of making a Griefer themselves ragequit.
I for one would love a forum where my constant foul language and harrasment will be encouraged and countered with more cursing and harassment. It'll be like Forum PvP! -giggle-
thegriefer.net, I'll make sure to keep an eye on that so I can become a dedicated member once its good to go.
Yes I know it wasn't the day as it says under my avatar. It was a typo and for some reason it will not let me correct it. However, both of them caused the mass cancellations.
That is exactly our goal! We'll make an announcement once the basics are set up. So far it's all barebones, but we are working on it everyday and we will no doubt bring a community for true PvPers!
Stay tuned!

We all enjoy a sandbox game. I loved Pre Trammel UO and I killed tons of players but none that were newbies of which from reading your post I would wager you get great satisfaction in ruining the enjoyment of someone just starting in the game. I never killed anyone that was in or near the newbie areas in UO. I always PK'd in areas of my own skill level where they actually had a chance to win also because their skill set was close to mine. I like a CHALLENGE which is something PK Griefers will run from.
What your type fails to realize is that this type of behavior turns people away from games making them less attractive to newer players. However you go ahead and grief all you want and watch Darkfall fail miserably although from the looks of it you may not have to worry about that.

Me personally? I rarely grief newbies in starting areas. I find it rather bad for population expension of the games I choose to play. Nevertheless, I'll grief the shit out of any player outside of such areas.
I really like how carebears are so damn desperate to lable all PKers as newbie Griefers. That's not the case, although I personally find no issue with such players either. They have some hilarious stories!
The bottom line fact is that there is a huge distinction beteween Sanbox PvPers and Carebears. One strives for freedom and one strives for protection. The reality is that in Open PvP games, you'll have sadistic griefers, and that's it. It is your choice if you play such games and accept such enviornment or not. If you do not find such games fitting your game style, do not play them. You can't change people's nature, and there will always will be people who are willing or indifferent to exploting the lack of knowledge and complete stupidity of unaware players.
Again, just as nobody is forcing you to play Open PvP games, nobody is forcing to participate in such community.
I actually find it ironic that so many of you are complaining about PKers and Griefers yet you bitch at me for trying to form a community for such players which would certainly reduce the amount of them here. What do you honestly want? Think about it!

Wow... I see a few people in this thread that need to seek professional help if they truly find pleasure in causing others harm.
Future DF rage-quiter right there. Confirmed.
I can't wait to hurt you.
Add half of the world to your list and sue human nature, mate.
Harming people in game can be very, very rewarding. Just as helping your friends out. I like 'em both.

I'm not out for any monetary value their pal... I'm looking at the reality of it. I have no issues with Darkfall or its PvP orientation with harsh consequences... I play EVE my friend I know brutal. My issue is with those who actually wish to actually cause one true physical and psychological ill-will by "griefing". Its no different from pushing someone into oncoming traffic, or pissing on someone's head. Only thing I see is that instead of doing this in person, you hide behind a screen doing these deeds over the internet.
It makes the act no different in its intent and nature. Not all PvP players are "griefers" but for those who are actually out there to purposely "grief" and cause harm to other players need serious help.

I'm a bit misanthropic, and I'd love to send a big, fat subpoena to human nature, but it won't keep me from asking why a person would want to be such a colostomy bag and just kill repeatedly until the person quits playing. I'm with Souvec, brutal incidents are different from general asininity. I think Souvec related it properly to peeing on someone's head. (I just hope you're consistent with your behavior offline ;P)
Once again I really am against people calling people carebears. You are not a big and bad because you can kill someone on a game. If you enjoy pv that is great but lets not pretend you are bad. You want to be bad go work in law enforcement or serve in the military a few years then tell me how bad you are. Leave your epeens at the door.
Right on.
I've also thought of a terrific solution to keep from being "griefed." Everyone should make female avatars with seemingly female names. (I assure you said jerkwads will be less likely to kill you; and if they ask if you're a girl, say YES.)
Wouldn't recommend joomla, being that its about as secure as a catholic school girls panties after graduation.
I'm Awesome, Deal With It.
I love these people, you entertain me all day long with this "I'll rip your head off and piss down the hole" kind of talk. It should be mandatory to have webcams on these games, being able to see the actual physical presence of the sociopathic psychos who exercise such effortless supremacy over the "carebears" in these games we play would be even more fun.
"all the whining carebears" = two people posting about newbie griefing? I'd hardly call two people a flock
if you grief people who are new to the game, thusly causing them to quit, thereby causing said game to lose money,
arent you contributing to the demise of your own game?
RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

I wasn't so much talking about myself but about human nature in general. Humans have an inbred possibility to be cruel, it just surfaces alot quicker with some than with others. The griefers we talk about only need the reassurance of knowing they are playing a game and doing so anonimously over the internetz.
p.s. how would you actually differ between "brutal incidents" and "general asininity" other than the difference in point of views between victim and the perp? Those who quit a game over being ganked are doing the right thing, in my opinion. Obviously that particular game's pvp ruleset and mechanics weren't for them and they are better off playing a more pve oriented mmo or one with more restrictions and safeguards to pvp.

Heh, more angry German kid videos.
It's gotten to the point where some MMOs have been reduced to little more than success dispensers. Don't think. Don't challenge yourself. Do as little as possible... but still be rewarded for it. Yeah.. *that's* fun.

There are more posts in this thread than that entire forum haha.
This thread makes me confused, but happy at the same time.
