I've got a long list of games to be released this year, most of it looks like shovelware, the only ones which may have any interest to me are:

Ghostbusters: The Video Game - Could be fun and original.

Street Fighter IV (4) - Yes that is a four after IV in brackets, who knows why.

Batman: Arkham Asylum - A GTA style game involving puzzles and beating up The Joker whilst smashing through walls.

Old franchises with a new facelift - sad, sad, sad times :-(

MMORPG scene seems dead to me and single player doesn't look much better. PC gaming does indeed look to have had a stroke, the only games propping it up are by Blizzard with a 5 year old game called World of Wankers and Valve with HL series.

Darkfall, Mortal Online, Aion, Earthrise, Global Agenda, The Agency and Huxley, if it isn't dead yet.

But (expect World of Qin) every of this games is revolutionary and will be an epic fail because people don't want that.

Wait for 2013, Blizzard will bring out a game that combines all the ideas of those games and transform it into an easy-to-play MMO for everyone, who hate REAL mmorpgs and likes Gear farming just to look much cooler than all the others.

Honestly, I believe the biggest MMO in 2009 will be Champions Online. I also beloieve that 2009 will mark the year everyone realizes that WOW is truely dying.

I hope WoW is dying because I dont realize it yet -_- and I want it to already. My fear however is if wow dies will all those imature kid mmorpg players move on to mature mmos like LoTRO and CoX? or will they just stick wo their Xboxlive and CoD4 trash talking days?

I am looking forward to News about Guild wars 2 and Aion the tower of Eternity this year, but mostly my biggest hope this year is The Conduit. It is not an mmorpg but a revolutionary Wii title from what Iv read the past year its going to change everyones perspective on the white little box.

Some people are just slow. I could have told you it was dying in 2007. I know they increased their population a lot during that time, but it was kind of like people running to the scene of an accident to see the dead bodies.

Mortal Online looks really interesting. I only discovered it the other day .

The designer seems to have really liked Ultima Online before it went carebear and the graphics seem on a par with Age of Conan. I think its using the Unreal engine also.

So good graphics and potentially extremely good gameplay.  I just hope they manged to release it.

It's not exactly a release, but I am quite anxious to hear some concrete information about Square-Enix's next massively multi-player game code named "Rapture."
