Dark and Light all over again!!
Here we go again....purchase are game without being able to try it! Well after you all get ripped off again I don't wanna hear I want my money back...OMG they charged me for the game then shut the servers down. Fall for this scam if you like...If your not an idiot and looking for a good game play AOC. Darkfall looks about 50% finished..bleh

Really. I make 20K in 2 months. It would not be worth it to risk going to jail for 320 hours of work.
While I will never be a defender of DarkFall lol this sort of criticism is unfounded. For the most part I don't think there is an mmo released in the west where you get to try it for free. Other than that there is every possibility that it well end up like Dark and Light but, like I said, just because they dont give a free trial doesn't mean they have anything to hide. Wow didn't give free trials for a very long time, SWG never has, EQ don't think so, EQ2 nope, Auto Assault, Guild Wars, Age of Conan, Warhammer etc. Eve, of course, is the exception. But CCP is also a company that wants to succeed and to stick around for awhile

First, it was supposedly only 10k, not 20k.
Second, when the pre-orders were done, they shut down the ability to cancel the pre-order.
Third, unless the preorders cancelled by the 25th, they get charged $50.
So that's $3 pre-order plus $50 game = $53 total x 10,000 = $530,000.
The nice thing is, when people call the credit card companies for charge backs, they'll get them easily. Plus Aventurine will have to suck down the return fees to the credit companies.
And if enough do that, Aventurine will lose the right to accept credit cards.
Now that would be funny.

Also to the OP: Dark and Light is the worst rated game on this site. I know thats not saying much because people like you post on it, but it still means that simple based off of beta player feedback, Darkfall is leaps and bounds above dark and light.

They never said 10k? So your figure of 20k is the correct one? Congrats on showing that they are willing to take money from 20k people for a server intended for 10k ( that has never been tested to hold even that many to boot ).
Far as the cancel bit, people were on these forums yesterday complaining about it, so I'm sure it happened. But i can't verify it personally, since i wasn't stupid enough to give money to amateur nobodies, so i have nothing to personally cancel.
Gameplay over graphics? Hmm. I haven't seen Darkfall display good examples of either one.
