Far as the cancel bit, people were on these forums yesterday complaining about it, so I'm sure it happened. But i can't verify it personally, since i wasn't stupid enough to give money to amateur nobodies, so i have nothing to personally cancel.

Everyone got an Id number when they preordered. And yeah, im pretty much speculating it's over 10,000 considering people were telling which number they got. And you are very welcome. As previous people have stated (just because of the heck of it) im a hardcore Df fan that won't hate the game no matter what! But i have to hand it to you. I didn't pre-order for pretty much that reason. I don't trust a new company, and i want to try the game more. I just got a sneak-preview of the game and it's not enough for me to decide if thisgame is worth it or not.

While I will never be a defender of DarkFall lol this sort of criticism is unfounded. For the most part I don't think there is an mmo released in the west where you get to try it for free. Other than that there is every possibility that it well end up like Dark and Light but, like I said, just because they dont give a free trial doesn't mean they have anything to hide. Wow didn't give free trials for a very long time, SWG never has, EQ don't think so, EQ2 nope, Auto Assault, Guild Wars, Age of Conan, Warhammer etc. Eve, of course, is the exception. But CCP is also a company that wants to succeed and to stick around for awhile
For the record, Guild Wars, EQ, EQ2, and SWG (and Vanguard and LotRO) all have free trials and W:AR is now offering buddy keys and 10 day trials for FilePlanet members AND the guy in charge of Darkfall (who's name eludes me) made a HUGE deal about how they would never do pre-orders and would offer a free trial so no one would end up buying a game they weren't in love with already. The sudden change in that stance has many people (myself included) justifiably concerned.

Also to the OP: Dark and Light is the worst rated game on this site. I know thats not saying much because people like you post on it, but it still means that simple based off of beta player feedback, Darkfall is leaps and bounds above dark and light.
Trouble is that DF shares more with D&L than is dis similar. The main differenceis that DF is technologically more robust however game systems wise it feels similar.

This gameplay vs graphics posts i see all the time remind me of the Pretty/shallow girl vs Ugly/Deep girl i see all the time in life.I mean OK.Whatever makes you happy,but you should try to score the perfect combination Pretty/Deep rather than get along with WHATEVER.
Its this wrong philosophy that allowed the MMO game developers to either try to make a game with the Best Graphics available at its time and no gameplay depth or trying to score the best gameplay they can get with graphics from Stone Age.
We as the community should stop supporting either side and play the game that offers everything in the package not just some small part.
On the other hand you can say plainly that if you like a game and have fun with it who cares about the graphics and i will agree with you.But most of the time people play these games for the small ( in time) adrenaline rushes you get(Which you can get from plenty more stuff) rather than a continuous state of happiness.

wrong. War had an open beta for preorders and randomly invited peeps. WoW and EQ2 allowed people to join until they reached a cap. SWG only invited more people who applied for the beta, but not all. Man you people sure love to make shit up when it concerns darkfall don't you?

Well with WARI applied late (days late) so hit up a couple of fansites. Ended up with keys coming out my arse Basically if you wanted a key and where prepared to look they where available. I think it was wireplay who brought an extra 70,000 or so on line at the last minute for any who had been un succesful.
I have never had a problem trying a game since the days of UO & M59. (including Darkfall). Darkfall was clearly luck though.

AOC was giving them away at the game store with war mammoth for preorder. But they got too many people
so the tiral was offered lvl 1-20 offline believe it or not.
