At least according to this post by a Blizzard Mod. Looks like we have to
watch our email boxes for two senders now. If anyone recives an email
please post here.

    whaaattttt???? those emails weren't supposed to go out until october 1st.... me thinks something is screwy here.... well maybe they did go out and i'll get one but i really thought they weren't supposed to go for another week... go figure...

    Nah the whole contest is messed they supply no info. It said that the e-mails will be out no later then oct. 1st. I'm acutally kinda nervous cuz i singed up twice duno if they deleted my sign up or what but they need to get a better way of doing things.

    Didn't get an email from blizz or Nzone. From now on i refuse to only sign up with 1 email to these things. It's total crap that the honest people get screwed while the cheaters are allowed to cheat. I havent gotten in a beta in almost a year for any game(of which i signed up for about 10 or so and thats not including contests).

    No email either, and I need my fix of WoW.  The stress test got me addicted and now I need more.  I go crazy every day when I look up rogue skills on the WoW Vault at IGN.  I need to play my night elf rogue NOW!

    We should start a guild in WoW for open beta/retail.  The guild for people who got shafted for closed beta.

    I swear, Ive signed up for four beta give aways for this game and I havent won any of them, its insane.

    If you read, they are talking about SoL.  They are a guild who had some sort of contest, but no one got any e-mails, etc.

    If you go to their webpage... www.solguild.com it brings you back to your homepage.

    I think something's fishy here.

    Yeah I never win anything. Wait no, I did win a contest here. It was the Ultima X: Odyssey beta slot. And look what happened there! GRRR! So I won a contest but then the damn game shuts down. Stupid universe!!

    The only thing I've ever won was that dumb old oreo contest, and I only got a toy yo-yo. Oh, but I also won a mini basketball hoop thing for my door at a fundraising contest (it was the best prize, everyone who had sold an item was entered) and it turns out, I won it, at the exact day I was sick at home =E talk about irony, but atleast they kept the prize for me. Which was what a lot of the other students didn't want image  Oh, and maybe we should make a pvp guild that hunts down sol, during openbeta/release.

    Yikes, that would suck if they had something against yahoo or hotmail. Although I got into the stress test with my hotmail, so I doubt there's a problem there.

    I'm beginning to think the only reason these giveaways are held is that Nvidia, etc can just get a bunch of email addresses to spam. Even if you don't sign up for their newsletters, they just sell the list to the highest bidding spammer...

    I'm not bitter, just tired of not getting into any of these betas. I was in the WOW stress test which was cool, but obviously didn't win the stress test competition (wasn't about to try either). I wish they would have rewarded some of us who actually file /bugs and /suggestions on a regular basis.

    In reguards to hotmail/yahoo....etc.

    When there was initial sign up they said to use your ISP email address only to prevent multiple sign ups.
    They didn't press this issue with stress test though.

    Not so sure that a pop3 account will give you a chance.

    SoL created a script that basically automatically submitted 22,000!!!! addresses, that were all forwarded to one guy's real e-mail account. I was able to grab a couple of screenshots of the boards before they took everything down.

    Excuse my French here...

    This is absolute bullshit!  Has anyone showed Blizzard this?

    I just wrote a huge letter to Blizzard show this information to them... hopefully something will take place.

    A bunch of people e-mailed Nvidia and supposedly WoW knows about it, but since the site is taken down, they may not be able to see first hand. Please feel free to send them the link to the screenies just in case.
