So because their was a 12 hour delay, of which free time was added you feel the need to crap on this game?! You know who you should blame? Blame blizzard, EA, turbine, etc for putting a bunch of crap games out over the years. It's their fault that they fucked the genre. Aventurine is just a small company who was trying to make a game to appeal to a long neglected niche of players. These other companies should be ashamed of themselves.
at least those companies had servers up and running on launch day. Small company or not, if you're going to hype your game as Adventurine has, you better step up and deliver the basics.
I'm a member of Savage Alliance's, Image. I mentioned some people had bad lag, and invisible players were a problem a few patches ago, but noone complained in vent about syncing issues...and I was involved in those big battles. Edit: Maybe I'm misunderstanding exactly what sync is. I think of sync as you are in a different place on screen (same for mobs) then where they actually are. 2nd Edit: That said, I've never experienced anything like the de-sync issue I experienced during my lunch hour play session this aft.
Invisible players are merely an exceptional form of standard synch issues: Where the player is simply not visually represented at all on the server and recieving client sides, regardless of where he is displayed in his own client.
I, personally, suffered major sync issues that led to others believing I was speedhacking (since I would jump wildly around the screen and be impossible to hit). There was (and perhaps is) a beta forums thread called "lag and synchronization issues" where posts regarding this problem were listed and detailed.
Regardless of the occurence in beta, one can't deny that there should have been a server stress test priot to release, in order to anticipate some of these more glaring issues.

Grow up, you and ur lil niche arnt the center of the universe. Should all games be made just for you and your friends.
Comon.
Your a complete idiot. Should all games cater to me? No. Should some games cater to me? Yes. What's funny though is how shallow and aweful all of the mainstream MMO's are becomming that it is driving fans right into the arms of Aventurine, wheather they can handle them or not.
Ha.. this makes me laugh..
Where is Aventurine drawing their insperation from?
Are those games still active?
You can't truthfully answer those questions, because that makes Darkfall an irrelevant game. The games that are drawing the masses make money. Companies are out to make money, if you think that's not true.. that you are living in a fantasy land. There is no reason for Darkfall to be in the state that it's in. They knew what their load would be. They should of had a "stress" test, and I'd imagine they didn't because they knew something like this would happen.. and if this happened, they couldn't drive investors to the website/forums to drum up more funds for development..
Sometimes thinking may hurt your head, but if you use your brain a little bit when trying to "appear" smart.. things look better!

Ahh, classic Tasos!
Wait, an indie MMO delayed? Not a smooth launch? Very funny - I'll believe it when I see it.
Is there a toll-free number we can call for counseling if this turns out to be true?
