Oh, I can conduct a completely rational conversation on many subjects. Just because I admit to trolling sometimes due to boredom doesn't mean there's no merit to the things I say, nor does it mean that when I am presented with an opposing arguement I will resort to name calling or other empty headed responses. As far as Darkfall goes it's all a moot point thus far as its client side packets make it an easy target for hackers, thus it will never be a good game no matter what its content, unless they take it all the way back to code and fix it. Which I hightly doubt they'll do as it's taken them 8 years to get it this far.

In what way was this a good thread? The op moaned about how he didn't like people not kissing the ass of Darkfall and the people on the other side of the fence came in and told him to blow it out his ass...
From someone who has actually had training in swordplay, I can tell you that anyone using a single stroke will be dead to a complete amateur, let alone a skilled swordsman(woman). I think in the first rank alone, we learned at least 5 different striking techniques and another 2 or 3 blocking, more in the second rank (which is where i had to leave for financial reasons ). Never mind the 4 or 5 different stances we learned in that time, which change the techniques slightly.
And for the record, one of the strikes we learned was a 180 degree swing and a reverse thrust technique, they can be highly effective when used appropriately.
