I am not a regular forum guy.. I recently started checking them out again because Darkfall is of interest to me. What I don't understand is why people who bash the game left and right even check out it's forums... I mean if you really are that disinterested in the game then why waste your time here???

Well with Darkfall you have three kinds of trolls.
One is the normal troll, the one who bounces from game to game trolling anything and everything he doesn't like. I'd say they make up less than 10% of the Darkfall trolls.
The second kind is also the second most common; the ex-fanbot. You see, Darkfall has been in development for a very long time and throughout its development cycle, Tasos has pumped out a lot of bullshit. Very few fanbots that exist today were fanbots during the entire 8 (or 9, whatever) years the game was being developed. Most fanbots today are fresh recruits so to speak. The original fanbots have become trolls because they got sick of Tasos and Aventurine. Now that the game is out though they are probably playing it, which is fine.
The third type of troll is the common person who isn't really a troll, he's a skeptic. He may or may not want to see Darkfall fail; if he does, it's only because the game has been hyped so much and Tasos/Aventurine are so arrogant that it's like hating on the Yankees when they won all those World Series. You can't help feeling good if they fail, only because they were so proud in the first place. Every developer should have pride in their product, but it takes something else to admit when you're wrong, admit when you fell short, etc. Tasos doesn't know how to do this, and so he's disliked.
So before you assume all trolls/skeptics are just no-life nerds who don't care about the game, think again. Assuming got us into a bunch of wars you know. Hey, we Americans will suddenly start assuming all Muslims are terrorists and we'll go blow up a few Middle Eastern countries. Yay! Or something like that.
To the OP, yeah, I know people on Forumfall think they're somehow better. They're really not. It's funny when they think so though!

There are lots of people on MMORPG.com that thinks people who post at DF forum are retarded.

If Darkfall is going to set a positive trend in gaming, first it needs to be RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC.
