after playing assassin's creed, i am sort of missing my old assassin....might take a look at this game again in a month or 2.....if i can pull myself away from EVE/LOTRO long enough lol

but anywho....OP, you invested in a good game, I've been playing it for about two months now, and I can honestly sasy I really enjoy it......definitely not the best MMO out there, it has its share of issues, but it is the only MMO besides LotRO that I am currently playing, and the only one I plan on playing for some time.

Don't you get it? You fans of AoC.. YOU guys are the minority. YOU guys are the 10% of gamers who like AoC. Those other 90% didn't like it and have moved on to other games.
Just face it. Endgame in AoC is boring as hell. Admit it. Why do you think everyone rerolls or quits as soon as they hit 80?
I was one of those 90% that left after 2 months ... 1 free month / 1 resub ...
I loved the concept but was tired of the bugs and the lack of content. Since I have returned the past few weeks. I am finding that this game has all the potential to have a large market. I will definately stay ... well unless SW:ToR is fun

You failed to see my point. I was merely defending myself when that other poster made me sound like I am in the minority and most people like AoC. Wrong.
Most people HATE AoC but the problem is that they are not here to voice their opinions. They have moved on. What we have here are a handful of fanbois lurking these forums 8 hours a day, defending the game to the death and attacking everyone who is critical of the game.
Oh and by the way.. WoW has more players than other MMO's combined so no they are not a minority.

Hm... Have you checked endgame lately?
-New crafting recepies;(still crafting needs more love) that you can farm at level 80(not fun for me but some like this(hey some get their fix of old gymsocks who are we to judge)
-New Solo dungdeon
-New Group instance
-5 pvp levels(if you did not get the earlier)
-Gathering pvp materials and fight againgst thatguildyouhate in border kindoms.
-Raid dungdeons the old ones
-Epic kesh for t0 items
Thats from top of my mind.... But only been 80 for abouth a month now.... You see I rolled an alt when I hit 70 since funcom have added alot of new content on different levels. Black castle and ymirs pass is my favorite.
If you really wanna hit on the mark; level 70 to 80 is missing some content(unless you do all group instance and late 70 get a raid spot for those quests). I did theese levels grinding in group.

Well being fair he would be far from alone. And that is the opinion of a lot of former players. Not myself in particular but ( the difference between Tortage and the rest of the game) it has been a complaint since day one.
And to those making jokes about creating acounts 4 years ago for viral marketing I dont thtink any sensible person is doing that. To deny that they have been ramapant here at times would be laughable. MMORPG has done a pretty good job of getting rid of the main one although he's still here and can be spotted easily both here and on other forums including the AOC forums. There is also one "hater" here who I THINK has two accounts.
That being said it is always nice when you find something new you like. I am sure I am labeled a "hater" but my hatred is restricted to those that spread false or over the top BS marketing crap. If someone likes the game then more power to them!!!!

That place is such a mind boring beginner zone. I cant even bother to create an alt just becuse I remember my first dreaded hours with my dark templar. The game will become more fun as you progress after the first 20 levels. Just find a guild that you can have fun with and enjot the leveling ride.

And my point is that 100% of people posting that they like AoC..do actually like AoC. That doesn't stop you from jumping on their threads and spouting your fabricated percentages....and WOW is still a minority compared to gamers but I will accept that WoW numbers kick other mmo's arses.You can save your statistics on that one. I honestly think that most people don't hate AoC..sorry no percentages...they just have a bad taste after a bad launch( not lunch). Not too many mmos have flawless launches...probably none....even WOW. Anyway..i just don't understand why someone jumps on a positive thread to crap all over the posts. From what I've seen I'm very tempted to give it a second try. Probably wont, but it looks, feels, and plays 1000% better than it did a year ago. I've read the notes they sound good.
You can have your opinion, but when telling someone about the game use updated facts and personal exp with the updated changes, or you just sound like a scorned ex girlfriend.

Actually i think that the people, who think the game is bordring after Tortage, is same people who like singelplayer, more than multiplayer games and disliked pvp. Why do i make this statement? well at the beginning 80% (aka Tortage) of the game is singelplayer related. AFter that it is more like 75 Multiplayer 25%
singelplayer. Especially at pvp servers.. i can tell you.
IT IS DAMN HARD to do quests solo on pvp servers, because EVERYONE that crosses your patch wanna kill you, (and i do mean everyone. Shit i have ben jumped by level 20s at level 70 (i won ofcause)) so if you are in a group, you would be more protected (not not safe at all. You are only safe if you are in the major citys, unless you are a murdere, then you are just fucked).

I can tell you, i NEVER get boared when playing on fury (pvp sever), why? because i really dont have time to get boared, because i get paranoid like all hell because it is really a dog eat dog world out there!!
I love this whole thing.. and dont get my wrong, i am not a good pvp player.. i would say i am lightly below average, but i stil LOVE it.
Apart from the whole pvp/paranoid/Anarhcy, the quets have improved.. I dare you to free the frost father, and not be a little chocked on how big he really is.. He reminds me of the really big bosses from Painkiller.
The dungons have also been improved and multiplied as other people have told.
Though i would say the singelplayer quests are NOT the most exciting i have played (Ac2 still have that place in my heart, i just LOVED the story line.. Maby it is because that was my first mmo, i dont know, i just loved it), and if there wasent any pvp in AoC i proberly wouldent be playing it.

Again, STOP pulling this "90%" figure out of your ass unless you have actual proof. No, not X-fire stats nor the "European financial genious" guy the haters quote all the time. No... actual proof, not guesstimations and self-serving "statistics".
There's a reason why scientific statistics are considered proof.... because they are controlled from all extraneous things that taint the data that the scientist is collecting to prove/disprove his/her hypothesis. The X-fire stats are not controlled in anyway shape or form. Not everyone uses X-fire... no one knows the exact % of AoC players (past and present) that uses X-fire, therefore, no one knows if the decline that the haters report is just representative of the overall AoC population, or just those that are using X-fire. Therefore, it's tainted and a very poor guesstimate at that. Thus, not actual proof.
Also, this "European financial genious" that the haters quote for finding out the "truth" of AoC's population is not proof as well. All he did was reverse engineer his math from the financial statements to try and find an actual "true" statistic on AoC's population. One major problem with that: Self -serving bias. We don't know the true motives of said "financial" person. And, since there was no control (ie neutral party observation and review) we have no way of knowing if his bias influenced his mathmatical equations. Therefore, those stats can be tainted as well. Thus, not showing reality through the statistics. Therefore, this is not proof as well.
Again, stop using the "90%" figure until you provide real proof on its validity.

I think everyone knows by now that there is a new PR campaign going on after the game officially lost 20-30 million USD in 4th Q. And who blames ppl for trying. ...
"Word of mouth" is what Craig called it. I think we all know that fanboys are doing their best to create MMORPG.COM accounts to shout out the words.
Anyway - It will never change what AOC is all about. Funcom has been proven to be liars and cheaters JUST so that they could make more money on unfinished game. Noone with a tiny bit of none fanboy brain will never belive one word coming from them again.
First; they lost 23 mill usd in q4 and still made about 4 mill more than they spent. Can you please explain how this happens? If not; please do not post information you do not understand.
Second ; You state that the "omg this game is great" posts is from fanbois makeing multible accounts. Got any proof for this? If not its like 90% of internet information; just rubbish. amazingAvory is the fanboi nr 1 according to "haters". Do you not think MMORPG.com would accept that?(oh ye; its lakeis that do it; and do you think my tin hat makes me look fat?)
My rubbish statement is: they do this bc aoc is getting to much crap from "haters" and they feel they need to correct the impression on the forum.
Just use the "Block" option. It's one of the better features on MMORPG.com
Some people just seem to post the same negative crap in every thread regarding a game they don't like, and possibly don't even play. I read it the first 10-20 times but after that.... *Blocked*
