The problem with most of the people playing CoH, is that they group in groups of 5+, then are like why do i level slow? Groups should never go over 3 after level 15. And if your not a solo class, find a solo class to play with, usually a heavy soloer, such a scrapper or a blaster, wouldnt mind having a controller or a defender with them(unless your a dark defender dont expect to find a group without being mis invited, and i mean a good group not some 8 person random invite group).
I'm playing my scrapper well, i solo with ease, but when a controller wants to come great, defender? great. i don't need another scrapper, or even a blaster(unless your a good blaster which a few in my sg are.) i was partying with a tech scrapper who was 1 level higher, and i could 5x his damage, he was just horrible. So i tend to avoid blasters unless they are able to distinguish themselves above the rest.
The thing is, this game is made for the casual gamer, which nobody seems to realize. Everyone is saying "you must level you must level you must level". But you don't need to level to have fun.
Everyone always says, wait till WoW and EQ2 come out wait till WoW and EQ2 will come out. Everyone has them so overhyped. THE EXACT SAME THING is gonna happen as when any other mmorpg comes out. Everyone goes from their current game to that one. Realzing its nothing special, half the people that left come back to their original game. Thats how its been, thats how its always gonna be. And I have played WoW myself, and personally that game is 90% hype 10% fun. It just really is nothing new or special, after awhile(unless your a blizzard fanboi) will realize its nothing great and go back to your old game, such as DAoC, CoH, EQ1(yeah people will still play it), EQOA, FFXI, L2, NC, RO.
The games may lose a few people, but in the long run the games will stay even.
Just remember, when playing a game, its not what level you are, its if you have fun doing it. (dont say CoH gets repetitive, if you do, you never played it like it was meant to be played)
I've played this game for about 3-4 months, with 1-3 weeks of breaks, and I'm still enjoying/loving it, and i play about 4+ hours a day, usually around 6-7 if not more (I have no life atm, too many idiots).
And that guy who said regeneration = instant uberness, don't listen to him, he's just stupid.
For the record, it's nice until about 6, then it's crappy until 28 with integration being nice.
Personaly I thought it got tons better after 20. New cooler villian groups. SO's make you feel like a real superhero. Outdoor instanced missions, capes. Then origin specific title at 25, special effects at 30. Things keep getting better and better, don't know what these people are smoking.
Yeah umm... im MA/regen on my scrapper(whos level 32 now i might add). And what hes not telling people about regen, is that they have practically no defense, yeah sure he may be able to stand up against a bunch of higher level minions, but a good lieutenant, boss, and arch villain(regen would die really fast), would clean the floor with him, because unless you take combat jumping/hasten, you get NO defense powers, you get 1 resistence one, but thats it. sure you can get tough and with that and resilience you can get up to 50% resistence, unlike a invuln scrapper, or tanker, youll end up with about 90% resistence, which allows them to take on stuff as well as a regen scrapper. Minions can be weak, its easy to say "yeah i can stand in the middle of a giant mob of enemies with regen" but when it comes down to higher level bosses and crap, as i said before, a regen scrapper just doesn't make the cut. And if you want to disagree with that, do it, that way i won't even have to argue with you to make you look like a idiot.
First of all, maybe you need to learn some reading comprehension, I've already said integration is nice, and well, resistance isn't exactly a beautiful little move is it?
Quick regeneration is nice, but I was calling you stupid due to the "instant uberness" remark, again I say it's not as good, maybe worse a start than other secondaries until you get the integration+instant healing combo, even then stamina AND quick regen is needed to make full use of them.
Whereas maybe you should try an SR scrapper before slagging it off, 30% defense against ranged and close combat from 2 toggles and 2 passives plus the best status protection in the game, doesn't need a heal, "nuff said".
Then again, you're probably one of those people who thinks Dark armour and SR are "gimp" powersets.

until 28 we only really have quick reovery and reconstruction, they ARN'T so uber, so it sounds like you need to go get the clue, moron.
