Amazing news!
Aventurine has shattered the previous record for how quickly a horribly managed gaming company can make me cancel my subscription!
Only 1 hour of gameplay, 8 hours of queue time, and 2 deleted forum posts and I'm out. Congratulations Aventurine for being the quickest company ever to lose my business. Your total lack of planning, foresight and professionalism knows no bounds. I wish all of you who stick around the best of luck in your future Darkfail endeavors. Hopefully you won't go insane desperately hoping for the game to improve... or at least to get past the queue to actually play.

Think what you will, but I have played and enjoyed almost every sandbox MMORPG that has come out to date. The keyword here being played... something that is currently not even possible in this game.
I love the concept of Darkfall, which is why I waited for it for years... but after the way this company has handled the release and the rampant cheating so far, I don't see how any rational person can honestly think this will turn out as anything but a disaster. Its not the sandbox I am running from... rather the company behind it.

Darkfall Online does not even have that sandbox feel many had with classic Ultima Online. There are a couple of sandbox mmo's due out this year like Mortal Online and Earthrise. I do think that Mortal Online and Earthrise will do much better than Darkfall Online. Not to add that there are a good number of other good PvP mmo's out this year as well.
It is sad and pathetic that people give Tasos a dime after what a liar and a bullshit artist he is.

Yeah, I imagine when the majority do not re-sub, the queue problems will be gone.
Every person that gets into the game is another prospective quitter. Those thousands will soon dwindle to a few hundred who keep chanting: "but it's sandbox!!" or "I WON'T go back to WoW .. I WON'T!!!" over and over.
This game is only for the hardest core. Everyone else should LEAVE.

I am pleased that some people are enjoying the game, really I am (though can not imagine why). But to pay for a service that you just aren't recieveing dosen't send AV the clear kick up the arse message they need. The fact that people are prepared to pay to sit in queue aren't really going to incentiviese AV to sort things out.
OP ask for a refund. If they say no do a credit card chargeback. Sends AV a clear message and opens a slot for a fan. Win win.

But Aventurine's lack of professionalism never ceases to amaze me. Glad I stayed away.
I have never been in queue longer than 30 minutes, just requeue yourself if it seems to take ages and/or make sure that you have only one darkfall running.

On a positive side, theres no nasty spiders and other little monsters in the sand either.
I'd rather play in a Theme Park than in a sand box with no sand and no box (think about Dark and Light, Vanguard, Roma Victor, Darkfall online. Even VG and RV are more playable than this piece of joke, RV better than DFO, so fun ^^)
You already knew it before you purchased the game, it has been posted times and times in this forum. Shame on you, giving your money to a company you already knew was acting this way. Shame on you for not wating to things to clear up. But meh!, its your money, not mine.
