You are right OP. QueueFall has become an annoying situation and many of my guildmates can't wait 3+ hours to enter the game and after so much time, receive a shut down for "maintenance" message.
If the answer to this problem is "go back to WOW" or "Go back to x mmorpg" then we will soon play in an abandoned world and we all know that Darkfall's features are closely bound to the number of players that interact in its world.
I hope that this week thaey will at least reduce the waiting time from 3 hours to 30 minutes.
Come on, if you were willing to pay the horrendous price they are charging for this game at least try once in a week during your free month. If queing is your only problem with the game I'm sure they will fix that with time. You could even try today, should be less people playing than during the weekend.
Personally I will wait at least a month before buying this game, exactly due to issues like queing and what seems to be, to me at least, an unfinished if promising game.
I probably would have stuck it out a bit longer if it weren't for Aventurine deleting my posts.
I had some very valid and logical arguments about the state of things and instead of addressing these issues in a professional way, they simply deleted the posts. I can't tell you how infuriating that is after they took my money...
I kinda feel sorry for the people that waited so long to play this game, a friend of mine played it through beta & whilst he is a dyed-in-the-wool kind of dedicated fan, even he is becoming exasperated by the problems the game has had.
Launches are a critical phase for MMO's to be sure, but a bad, or even terrible launch doesn't mean a written-off game, many games that are now successes started off with bad launches big queues etc etc, all depends how dedicated Aventurine are & how rapidly they can get the game up to speed with it's competition.
I hope it becomes a solid success, the market needs diversity & this game is different to the rest out there right now, though Mortal Online might be the game that does "sandbox" better & leaves DF trailing in it's wake, only time will tell.

I just can't feel sorry for people that were so blind ran right into a wall even though we told them the wall was there.
[[ DEAD ]] - Funny - I deleted my account on the site using the cancel account button. Forum user is separate and still exists with no way of deleting it. Delete it admins. Do it, this ends now.
They are a smaller compant that spent a long time building this game. There are going to be huge issues when they launch and even worse with them being small they can't correct them as quick. Wait a few months to let them get outta beta so the game has a chance of being worthwhile to play and waiting to log in isn't part of the Darkfall exp.
Also, before someone brigns it up, it is a big issue when you pay money and you don't get to enjoy the product cause no one wants to buy a game and wait 10hrs before they get a chance to play it

Im waiting for earthrise myself. Not saying MO doesnt look nice but the fpv and another medieval game just doesnt seem exciting to me.
Thank you for making space for one of the thousands of interested gamers desiring to buy an account. Good luck with your theme park game.
this. thanks for donating your $50 to the cause and for freeing up more server space for us.
ps: can i have your stuff?
I hope you are kidding, javac. 50 dollars on a box is nothing, MMO's stay alive through subscriptions. I'll never understand why most people (not directed at you javac). That support Darkfall (or for that matter any MMO) are A-OK with chasing people away. Then when the pop starts to drop off, they come on the forums, trying to convince people how great the game is. So that they can hope to get more people populating the world. It makes for a shitty community.

Psst....javac isn't a real person...he's a ventriloquist's dummy. He sits there with Tasos' left hand up his ass all day (Tasos' right hand is busy operating imbant)

I would guess and say he isn't kidding. Unfortunately, the official forums are full of this ideology.
It's kind of sad, where just about every post is replied to with at the least either GTFO, or Go back to Wow. Or both.
It's bad enough that Aventurine can't handle the business/technical end of the game, but they can't even control their own forums as well.

The problem is that Tasos and his goon squad at Aventurine all have the same attitude as the fanboys.

You mean when their only serv overheats adn av has to sell df to soe?
I'm not a no life that sits in front of his computer all day long, I'm an intern that sits in front of his computer all day long.
Meh, the queue IS the game. If you don't have the nerves of waiting 8hrs in line, you are not worthy to enter Tasos' 8bit realm of fun.

H@H@H@H@ !!! I must say that DF has provided a lot of fun in these past months and i didnt even had to play it.
lol yea, forum fall is up and running, no ques, and the pvp is brutal.

I'd rather play in a Theme Park than in a sand box with no sand.
BOOM ! HEADSHOT!!
The rules of Debate are really simple; once you have to stoop to insults instead of facts, logic, or reason to try and win your argument, you've lost.
Is there still only ONE server ?

Well really I hate to say it but...
you only have yourself to blame.

omg...hardest I laughed all day. Thank you!
The sandbox with no sand comment was also a knee-slapper, but it had already had plenty of "har hars."
