God, I hope not. I hope that Darkfall sticks around and all the asshats stick with it. The Mortal Online community is so much nicer than Darkfall's. If Darkfall ends, the dregs of the MMO community that currently populate Darkfall will no doubt flood to Mortal Online.
I really hope that MO is great, I've got nothing against, even something for any game that does a PvP and skill based game.
Darkfall has it's own thing, if it can get past a bad start it'll grow steadily until something replaces that. Mortal Online will take some of the niche away, but not all.

The asshats play WoW. They say they're too hardcore for it (Whatever the hell that means), but we know better

OMG DarkFall PRE BETA vid August looked in so many ways for a better gameplay..this looks like a lame game..even scripted it looks lame lol

i was knowing that MO would have its problems cause its not easy to translate FPS into MMORPG and well it looks like the y way behind DarkFall to accomplish this lol waaay behind
where are the things i was asking for .. ?
Did something moved ? clouds mobs, leafs ? any PvP action of any noticable scale ?
Any magic ?
Where was the mobs again ?
Any shadows ? and the graphic didn't seem me any better ..or the animations .

DF full of life? All, what, 3000 people that play on one server... sure... Keep deluding yourself hun. MO -just- opened up it's applications for beta, so that footage is basically alpha, and it -still- looks better than DF.
And how are they way behind? You remind me of Protus-AoC, who in August, proclaimed that AoC was better than WAR cause AoC had more subs.... Yeahhh....
Its kinda funny but I visit two other gaming sites and there is hardly a whimper about Darkfall on either of them......For some reason this site (well the posters anyway) has a hard on for the game (good and bad).........
The first thing I noticed in the video was that there are actual animals, unlike any video from Darkfall.
The world looked more alive. The scenery was fabulous. Can't wait to see more.

I like DF but wont badmouth MO for stupid reasons, just what I see and logically deduce, like the massive battles issue.
Also MO fanboys, what DarthRaiden posted was sarcasm, attributed to the BS that was spewed whenever a DF video came up someone would bitch about some minor thing or another
Quite opposite than MO's video where there are also plenty of things to bicker over.
What I would like from MO devs now would be the exact features that will be implemented on release, on their main website (since I havent found anything solid)

No UI ? Nop interaction with an NPC..barely a mob..i believe 1 mob .. World was devoid of any movement..no clouds moving no leafs ..nothing ..
No Magic ..i didnt even noticed a bow (will check again..checked and no ranged) ..no mounted combat (just riding around) ..biggest fight was 4 -5 dudes stood there lowl

Step back from the Darkfall Queue, and re-read your post. Then go back to august on these boards.. and REREAD any of the video posts.. Everything you are saying about Mortal Online is the same crap they are saying about Darkfall.. (which has been in production a hell of a lot longer than Mortal Online).
And your responses to anyone who doesn't like the monotony that is Darkfall is "You aren't worthy.. " I know english isn't your first language.. but .. Look up the word worthy. I think, to you, it means just don't like. What it really means is don't deserve.. which is compelte crap..

This, many people don't realise that this is exactly how the vaportrolls sounded when Darkfall videos came out.
Now on a serious note, MO will probably bite a big chunk out of DF's playerbase, especially the graphic whores and the soloers/lone wolfs. MOs Melee combat is probably superior as well.
On the other hand all the Lineage 2/Shadowbane/<insert clan based MMO here> clans that want to own their own cities and kill each other endlessly in big battles will stick around with Darkfall.
Unless I see a player build city or a battle that consists of more than 50 people I don't consider that DF's clan core is threatened by MO.

There wasnt anything roaming the few animals in a scene looked very static..and there was two encounter as mobs at best ..world was barren..i ll give you mounted combat ..but magic ? at best 1 spell looked like particle effects could have been dirt lol
because i will not upset you (cause we fighted trolling all the last time together) ..It is sarcasm...till to the point i honest not see why these video should convince me to MO..i see many similarties ..some things looked like more intresting then DF (melle combat) but then again..most not ..or not are to seen in these vid ..
And back on track..
Where is the UI ? does anyoine has seen any UI ? i guess is a mod from some engine some guys in the basement put together..

Do you guys really think that Mortal Online is going to be void of attacks while WOW, AoC, WAR, Darkfall, and the others are consistantly attacked here?
Since Vanguard:SoH release, I've noticed one consistent aspect of people here in the forums. They attack.
I watched the video. The graphics are ok. What I really need to see is more feature listings (I'll be looking into it). And as it stands, I won't put a dime into Mortal Online until you guys test it for me and get it stabilized.
