Well, I sent yet ANOTHER message to their CS. Lets see if I get a reply. To those who ARE running it fine, what OS and Direct X versions are you using? To those who are like me, same question. I'm running win98se with directx 9.0c. Any more input would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same problem when I try to start the game nothing happens. I read on some other message board that its because of Wndows 98, and that we have to wait for a new patch. I hope either this aint true, or such a patch is out soon.
I personally am not using an Nvidia. I'm using a Radeon 9200 with the latest drivers. I even tried the old drivers and they didn't work either. It's not that I'm getting a blank screen. I try to open the game and nothing happens. I stay on the desktop. I'm downloading a dependency walker right now to see if it's a problem with the win98 API. When I have more info, I'll post it.

A friend of mine played the game on his XP machine and had no problems, but then he installed it on his windows 98 machine and he got the same problem with the hourglass and nothing happening and all. So I guess us 98 users will have to wait till another patch

After running dependency walker, I found that a few of the things that were being requested were API functions that only win2k and up can handle. I'm going to be sending my finding to this company's (lousy) CS department and ask them to get the ball rolling on a remedy to it, as not everyone uses 2000 and higher. In any case, we're screwed, and have to wait

Well, they acknowledged the problem on their site, and they have announced a fix in tomorrows patch. With a bit of luck us Win98 users will be playing this game tomorrow!

I mentioned this problem to goldenstove, and he said they were getting on it. This proves they are, even if they have a very, very small CS department. He also explained to me only 2 people in the company speak english, which is why we've not gotten responces before. All I can say is that for once, the developer of a game is KEEPING a promise! I think I feel it getting cold all around me...

If we happened to fall from your expectations in the future, let me apologize in advance and seek your understanding That being said we are working on the bugs... please help us spread the word. I won't be able to answer game specific questions because well... I have a lot of work to do But I am scanning the boards to get a general feel for whats going on. If you mentioned a problem and I dont answer please dont assume we are not on it

I totally understand but I guess they assumed I was a company impersonator. Anyway, I am from Wizet and I hope you can understand my limitations and seeking of your help to spread the word on Maple.
Also, please vote for a Maple forum on the polls so we can create a better community and also so we dont disturb those that arent interested

Actually, Maple is not P2P I dont think it will ever be P2P... however, unless something goes disastrously wrong, we will keep the service free. We run all our servers and will keep stacking them up as quickly as you fill'em. Tell everyone you think will be interested. Also, if you guys have MORE than one comp at home and have younger siblings, please be a cool bro or sis and hookem up too
Hey Golden, I'm loving the game so far, just got to 25 with my archer, I'm just curious is the official Maple website ever going to have forums? Also yall need to make the storage NPC hold more stuff, 4 spots to hold my junk isn't nearly enough
That my question also i mean im loving the game so far it is unique for me ive never played a online side scrolling mmorpg before it reminds me of the monster land game that i had on genesis.
Glad you like the game. The storage issue can be explained in like this... "we need to make money to run our business". In the Korean cash shop that is one of the few items that we sell in cashshop that is not cosmetic. Unfortunately, the cash shop is not yet available. I just want to be honest... although it has not been decided yet as every local service is different. That will probably remain a cash item.
If I'd have to answer now, I'd say it's not in the works. However, we have been talking about it at the office. Maybe like a gladiator arena thing might be fun Someday there might be but that is a subject that must be CAREFULLY examined

i rly want to play this too u know. what video card are u using? i use geforce4 ti4200 with driver 45.23 now.
oh and what it said about those error codes, its not aways a virus or hack tool on ur computer, when i used the latest driver i had these errors too..

1) Play the game with win98/ME
2) Type "?" in the textbox without having to worry about crashing.
