Nothing wrong with me, but the newest bug biting our arses is when you die, it often drops you to character select, and it takes a few for your character to fully dissapear so you can relog. So I just blather here while I wait.

You really havent been reading anything about EQ2 then. Because you are flat out wrong. This is not going to be a polished version of eq1. This will be a totally new a different game. As sony stated many times before and posts that you can read from people who are in beta... EQ2 is a completely new game with new ideas and gameplay. Only thing the same is the storyline.

Ive got the dvd version on preorder. The main thing that EQ2 offers is superior immersion. With the graphics, voices, and story it is on a whole new level of immersiveness.

I shall be getting, as I have pre-ordered, the DVD collectore edition. Not that I need all the extra stuff or anything, I am just a whore that has to have the best, the nature of my profession.

I find it funny how everyone keeps up these arguments about the game being new and fresh or repolished. If anyone would take the time to realy look at all the available information they would see that both sides are correct. Coldmeat makes very good points about how very few things in EQ2 are new. Anyone who knows anything about anything knows that there is RARELY anything new in anything...ever. On this point I agree with Coldmeat (gods help me, thats twice now...kidding). A huge amount of the content in EQ2 is realy just new versions of other things, but there is nothing wrong with that. If all of us would only accept games that were new and unique in the universe then we would still be playing pen and paper D&D, and with just the original 4 softcover books. All Las Vegas would be is "3 card", the oldest card game. And the rest of the games would be "bones", the oldest dice game. Everything since the examples I have set are NOTHING more than steps up from the originals. Evolution comes in steps, not bounds, there is no spontaneous evolution. And for those that would tout the wonders and uniqueness of WOW, guess what...wrong...new face but same thing.I am not saying anything against WOW as it looks very nice but if you think it is new under the sun then I fear that you are terribly naive. Yes there are advancements in EQ2, and very nice ones at that. But all of these arguments are moot. All of you are debating topics that need not be debated. You are all right, hence, all wrong.I know that these silly quibblings will continue, but believe me when I promise that what I have told you is truth.

I'll be purchasing the DVD version! image And my primary reason for purchasing EQ2 I can say in one word "Content" The amount of quests, for both solo and group gameplay is quite large and appears that it will only grow as the higher lvl areas are fleshed out. The said final lvl cap has been stated to be 200!!! image So that (content) and the faction system is what drew me to give it a try and I'm excited 2 do so!

I play Lineage 2 because I LOVE the graphics, I never get tired of watching my toon attack a mob! And I have met a lot of very cool people. So graphics and social aspect keep me going back for more in L2 (currently lvl 27 Elven Knight...can't wait for lvl 28 finally get some new skills/spell!)

I will purchase WoW as well! I have enjoyed all of Blizzard's past games. And from my limited time in the stress test, I know that it (for me) is fun to play, easy to pick up and get into. While some have stated their dis-like of the graphics, I personally like them and feel as though I'm actually IN the Warcraft 3 world!  I like the quests system and the faction feel of the game. I also met quite a few good players there in my limited time image

So...in the hopefully NEAR future, I will be playing 3 mmog LOL  So we'll see how I feel after a few months of play...which one (maybe 2) make the cut. I have the money...but alas TIME is my nemisis!

OK...that's my reasons for playing and trying out these games!

Good Luck 2 All for the EQ2 Beta giveaway!
