I would actually be tempted to enter a dungeon just to see what it would look like to fall forever. Plus if I did it with a friend we could act out a scene from the latest journey to the center of the earth movie. guess I'm just too curious.
I would also think that they would have programed a way to simply turn off the dungeons so that nobody would be able to enter them. I admit I have not played Darkfall yet, just am guessing that they are an instance that has to be loaded.
or do you you just spend all your time crusading against it... cause thats pathetic.
I canceled my account but still keep up with it because I am actually having more time following all of the disasters this company generates than actually playing the game... so...
They know they are new and have problems, but they are honest and upfront about it.
Would you prefer them not tell us? Every mmo in the past has had patches that have had to been instantly fixed becuase something unexpected got through.
AV has made a lot of mistakes on the business end of running their game, but they still have one of the most intense and enjoyable pvp MMOs on the market right now, and it is not even close.

"If people were dismissing it, then they wouldn't be talking about it. The well-meaning gamers root for efforts that try to raise the bar. So who's left? It's so easy being a skeptic." -Tasos
Communicating with the people playing their games? What the hell is wrong with these people?
Agree, putting up a banner saying "Hi we are morons and can't code worth a flying F so stay out of the dungeons" is a very good way of communicating a lot of information to your customers.
This is the type of communication that builds strong game communities and brings tons of new slavering sycophantic failbois into the game.
Remember there are no hackers .... except for the ones with strange names because their anti hacking code will prevent hacking and their MOB AI is the best ever, etc, etc, etc, but hey we can't keep our dungeons working.
Gawd what a momumental fail of a company. Nothing but a bunch of air breathing heat loads
The positive one which says, thanks for the heads up! Then goes along its merry way.
Then there is the negative and more realistic side, which clearly sees it as an admission of some form of incompetence that should have been recognized well before it became a problem.
While I appreciate that cafe X warned me that their coffee is filled with toxic water and that I shouldn't drink it, it raises the obvious question of WTF is this coffee shop doing?
Goes right along with their inability to change a players name themselves, so they just ban your account if you have a name that's to difficult for them to type, like illlil.
These guys continue showing their ineptitude, and I for one am glad to see it. The more they show their incompetence, the more smart people they run off. Soon, they'll be stuck with just the players they currently have. And then soon after, they will fall from lack of funding, and their charade of being game developers will be over. And there will be room for talented indy devs to make a real game to take DFs' place.
A more approriate warning would be: We are having problems with dungeons, they are therefore disabled.
Telling the players NOT to enter dungeons and keeping them open, and even stating the reason shows their amateurism.
Agreed. Although stating the reason is just the way Aventurine works. It's always been known that DF is a game by gamers for gamers.
Maybe so, but it does not make it right. These guys are running a buisness, not a charity. Them being gamers will not accord them sympathy from the customers who are playing 15$ for a service. Trust between customer and company is everything, and if the company shows that they cannot be relied on to provide the best service possible, then how can the customer trust them in dealing with potentially game-breaking issues that might arise later down the road?
Then again, DF has shown that people would pay for anything, so who knows :P
The rules of Debate are really simple; once you have to stoop to insults instead of facts, logic, or reason to try and win your argument, you've lost.

How dare they give you a heads up.
I thought you quit the game?
or do you you just spend all your time crusading against it... cause thats pathetic.

btw, I am playing Forumfall
Exactly.

Sounds like a challenge to me, where's the nearest dungeon?
Game is called Dark Fall. So that's what you'll do if you enter a dungeon, that's epic.
Wow, that's epic fail.
He who keeps his cool best wins.
Well there are two obvious ways to take it.
The message essentially says that they lack the capability to lock people out of a bugged zone, so they're asking you don't go in!
So... What, if you go in and end up "Falling forever" do you have to delete to free yourself?
Goes right along with their inability to change a players name themselves, so they just ban your account if you have a name that's to difficult for them to type, like illlil.

Can i used that as my Sig picture? This is just Epic fail.
All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.
"... or you'll end up falling forever"...
Didn't that start when people bought the game !?
AdminMessage: We are having some troubles with corrupted files on the server. Don't enter the game or you will end up failing forever.
Remember this is actually a good thing because they are informing their customers about their incompetence, instead of just not being incompetent.
A more approriate warning would be:

So being honest and succinct is dumb?
It's idiots like you who force companies into a realm of "professional" PR that serves nothing but to slow everything down.
I would enter a dungeon as well.
