Most enjoyable: My first MMO was FFXI, and since it was my first, I enjoyed it the most. The MMO I find most intriguing after years of searching, is surprisingly Vanguard. I am really enjoying this game right now, and don't see myself switching to any other MMOs any time soon.
Most boring: I would, much to the dismay of others, have to say that WoW is the most boring I've played. It is nothing but quest, after quest, after quest. Some folks like that, not me.

Most boring- Eve followed by PotBS. Most fun- Pre-CU SWG followed closely by WoW
I love the fact that Eve is taking the "most boring game" category by a landslide.
There are 4 or 5 guys in the Eve forums who will argue with their last breath that if you find the game boring, it's because you are a stupid. They do a good job over there of burying any criticism of the game under the personal attacks they respond with. Of course, they will only post in the Eve section where they have a captive audience of trial players and fellow fanboys, because outside that specific sub-forum, general consensus is that the game is a snooze-fest.
there are plenty of games i do enjoy, and when I discuss those games I can admit to their shortcomings. I enjoy WAR, but I don't try to pretend that there aren't real problems with the game. Pretty much any issue that you see people post over and over about the game is accurate. Those Eve fans will even defend in game currency sales rather than admit that there is one little thing about the game that is less than perfect.
Well, if the fact that I find Eve the most boring MMO on the market makes me stupid an d immature, at least I am in good company.
Also, just because I have some time to kill:
Most boring game tally thus far (drum roll)!
EvE: 31
WoW: 26
Not quite a landslide tho. =P
And right here is another example of how messed up the fanbois and haters are on this forum.
I don't really enjoy WoW but i would have to be a complete asshole to say its the most boring MMO i have ever played same with Eve. Majority of those people that listed WoW or Eve as most boring are clearly forum warriors on the attack. these people never give up, they attack a game hoping to sway players from one game to another. It's sad actually.
There's a reason I don't come to these forums as much anymore.
That may be - however I listed Wow as most boring because it was boring to me. I am the odd man out I guess because everyone says WoW is so popular. However popularity comes from different things. I know some people who play games because their RL friends play them not because they themselves like them - I played EQ2 for a long time after it began to bore me for that very reason. On the other hand I love EVE but am not playing it atm because I do not have the time required for it. EVE, in my opinion, is more of an alternate reality than a game - and thus needs a lot of attention. Just my opinion. There are other gams that I find fun - I have started playing Guild Wars again and find it fun. I am waiting for Champions Online and DC Universe because they sound fun.
Now, having said that.. Fun is not the reason I stick to a game - Challenging is why I stick to a game, when I feel a game no longer challenges me I leave it. I may be pissed off by the game, and frustrated by the game(for the challenge not the bugs and player population), it may loose some of it's fun because I AM going to beat it...I will stick to it. If it is fun but there is no real challenge to it, i will leave eventually.
Blizzard makes games people play. They cut out the elements that aren't fun. They "make" games and not food nor sell teenage singers. Blizzard in fact is the only MMORPG producer that had hit record games OUTSIDE the old laggy terrrbly clunky animated mmorp's of past and present. ---- Wow is popular because it is FUN to play (just like its makers intented). If Wow would be boring it would NOT be a gignatic success in its branche. ----- And guess what: gigantic succes does NOT mean McDonalds or Britney Spear. Bach, Elvis, The Beatles and the lotr MOVIES are gigantic success in their field. Just like Wow is in ITS field: the subscription based mmorpg. --- And people comparing MMO's to the food industry have indeed lost ALL touch with reality. It is time they come out of the mummy's basements and look at RL pleasure and fun. They should go on a diet instead of thinking of food while playing a fun video game.
It's actually pretty amazing how few people said WoW is the most boring, consider how many people have played the game. I bet at least 20x more people have played WoW than Eve, yet about the same number of people chose each game as most boring.
Most FUN to play = WAR (fun part was scenarios and quicky RVRs)
GuildWars (fun is various PVE campaigns, celebrations, etc)
POTBS (loved sea combat)
Most Boring = Asian Ginders like 9 dragons, Shaiya ,2MOONS , very boring
AOC so boring .never used to play for more that 15-20 minutes just was so bored .

Most fun:
WoW (I have quit about 19 times, and came back all 19 times. There's just something about ganking noobs in tarren mill that I still find fun. Its easy to get into, and easy to stick with. It has its difficult moments, and its easy mode moments. Blizzard cut out all the crap people dislike and left us with just the box of cookies to play with.)
EQOA (Yes, this was the best mmo I have ever played. Maybe it was because it was the first console MMO ever, combined with the fact that it was EQ.)
EQ2 (Its EQ with the soloability of WoW with neat housing, and arguably I almost enjoyed the pvp here more because it wasn't bastardized by battlegrounds.)
FFXI (This was my first serious mmo, where I actually spent alot of time. I HAD the time to spend then.)
Most Boring:
EVE (I've tried the trial 3 different occassions, thinking that "hey, maybe I am missing something". After the 45 minute excruciatingly boring character creation and tutorial process(why all the time spent on something we can't even see?). I just didn't "get it". The world is just a bunch of nothingness with planets strewn. Its the same scenery over and over and you move SO SLOW... I felt like I needed to be a college professor to figure out what it was I was supposed to be doing. Mining? I'd rather play SWG. Alot of people play this where I work.. and the #1 reason I get is this "Because even when your not online, its leveling your skills for you". Most of them play console games heavily on the side or even other mmos.)
AO (Once again, who is this designed for? rocket scientists?)
FFXI (As fun as the actual content is... the waiting and time sink required doing nothing makes this game literally so boring beyond words. I can't count the amount of times I fell asleep healing a group.)

Currently playing:
FFXIV on Behemoth, FFXI on Eden, and Gloria Victis on NA.
The most boring to me -- despite all the time I sank into it -- was FFXI. I can't stand a game where fighting consists of 6 people spending 90 seconds to down one regular mob. That wore on my psyche like nothing else
Second-most boring was WoW. It didn't adhere to the Everquest formula quite as tightly as FFXI, but enough to wear on my nerves too.

Most Fun: DAoC
Least Fun: Horizons
lol - I found it to be just the reverse: Most Boring - WoW and Most Fun - EVE.

I've heard EVE is good at some stage but I've never found it. Warp here, warp there, I just can't stay awake long enough.
