So there are tanks that fly and shoot laser beams now? interesting..
Big in badmouthing, small in knowledge, no surprise.
I am interested in hearing how what you quoted could be taken (even from a die-hard fan) as "badmouthing"?
Seriously... I'm really curious.
Particullary to this post the "small in knowledge" part, applys. The "badmouthing" part applies to every other of his posts..
No serious i was just schocked that particullary poster gives a "not nice presence" in nearly every thread and didn't know about War hulks ???
We gone through the war hulks part very often and i have expected someone who participate (to put a neutral wording) that much in discussions here don't know about them and have not see them at least in the "gameplay" video 6 months before ? wonder what else he knows really about the game ? but nontheless he is the first to badmouth it ? can his example be applied to more poster here ?
I just found it funny. So you say I am bad mouthing the game and am little in knowledge so you are denying there are flying tanks that shoot laser beams? The fanboyism in you is indeed strong. I never once read about flying tanks that shoot laser beams.
OK so the actually vehicle doesnt look bad but the laser beams are just silly. I know I know gameplay>graphics blah blah but come on this is silly at best. Game should be f2p with cash shop.

I have to agree with the fanbo...ehh fans here for a change.
I am not a fan of the game (and everyone knows it), but I didn't see any laserbeams.
So maybe you guys need to buy a new graphic card, a new screen, or maybe a whole new computer.
As the only thing I saw were a flame thrower and a front canon.
I seen the flamethrower...I also seen a fire burning in mid air. That was a bit odd. And the guy that fell off the warhulk...he disappeared for a second....where did he go? But overall, kinda of a nice lil machine.
No laserbeam, but there is a flamethrower. And also what seemed like a gun shooting at the end? While the war hulk looks cool, it is kinda silly in this environment. I mean... guys running around in armor with swords and .. a tank with a flamethrower.
Does it actually do any damage to the building? All I saw was shooting, flames, but no damage.
Does it work on water?
Does it need ammo?
How fast is it?
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

Warhulks are incredibly expensive to make and there is only few cities in the world that actually can make Foundry to even build them, so they are only available to large alliances. Think of Eve Titans (or maybe Battleships).
You can see the damage in your logs and how much health it has left only when it's in your "targeting reticle".
*Warning, heavy speculation*
Cannon in front and flamethrower in the back, driver uses cannon and another person riding the warhulk can use flamethrower - very effective weapon if it has the same stats as flamethrower tower.
Most likely it's able to cross bodies of water slowly.
It doesn't use ammunition as there is no such craftables.

Slower than a mount.
Thnx for the input! This looks pretty nice feature.
What is it used for? laying siege to cities or can it be used effectively for other purposes ( PvE? )
Does it damage players if you run over them?
The top section of the tank is open, can you kill people inside without the need to destroy the tank?
if you can, can you steal it when its unmanned?
Can you summon that tank from the city only or is it stored in your inventory like a mount?

This thread is proof that people willlook for anything to criticize DF about.
A mount/vehicle that is of useother than transportation/storage is rather rare in MMOs
Add to it that multiplayers can not only ride it but there are different devices that each player can control on it,
Now add to it the enemy can climb on and attack you while using it.
Flying tanks with flamethrowers are just plain cool, and what's silly isn't that it is some kind of anachronisn to the setting as some have stated, but that someone would actually make a comment like that in a game where people cast spells, resurrect after death and fight monsters.

That was...um... underwhelming. I'd be more impressed if AV update there website.
Why would they want to do that.
Exactly. Why would you want to communicate with your customers?
Off-topic.
Pot calls kettle, nowhaimsayin?
Fine. My game, Darkfall, has a pretty awesome siege weapon called a warhaulk. What does your game have?
My game, EVE Online, has cool spaceships that can also shoot lasers like the Darkfall's warhaulk. And they can hover too... well more like float in open space, nowhaimsayin?

^ Wins the argument I think.
Anyways, on topic, the video looks ok but so far I don't really see much in this game. The war hulk does not seem to fit in that much with the world from what I've seen. Why aren't there personal flamethrowers for example? I mean your character can carry all the heavy equipment and gear but he cant carry a flamethrower? they dont look like they are that big in the video or past videos I had seen of the war hulk.
Comments
...and yet you continue to follow it closely, and spend tons of time posting in the DF forums about it.
the joke's on you buddy.
Yep, fun to keep up with how bad this game has become :P

What laser beams. They have flame throwers and a front cannon.
It also hovers. Who cares. Lots of things hover. Woopidy doo.

So much talk of lasers, yet I only saw flamethrowers and a cannon in the video.

Does it work on water?
In War - Victory.
In Peace - Vigilance.
In Death - Sacrifice.
I want sharks with frikken laser beams on their heads.....that would be so EPIC to quote the failbois

I would definitely like to see something like this in an RvR game.
