How can you possibly say jedi will be OP when you know nothing, zip, nada, ne rien, niente, niks, nichts, about how Bioware tends to balance classes and how much care and effort they will invest in achieving this? p.s. Do bigger letters make a post more true?
It makes it easier to read.
I bet you a dollar that Jedi and Sith will be overpowered.

Usually people bet more when they are secure with there opinion/choice. Guess you have a lot more room for doubt.
And you do understand no game is ever balanced, there will always be an overpowered class. And there is no evidence to support that jedi or sith will be overpowered.
I see where you're going with the "horsie" (what are you 12?) thing. Clearly most of us see that it takes gameplay to see what class turns out overpowered, and most of us have come to terms that jedi/sith will probably be played more then most classes. Really its your vision that seems to be restricted.

I'm just curious, do all you pessimistic sour pusses who predict doom for every game actually have a goal of some kind besides being trolls? If it's to draw attention to yourselves, then I guess you are succeeding. But I fail to see any real tangible wins for you since no developer of any game could ever take you seriously.
What games have not failed?
World of Warcraft, EVE Online, Lord of the Rings Online and umm... darn.

Lineage I - II. CoH, CoV. Aion is doing pretty well, AoC and WAR are doing fine aswell.
Oh and EQ is still going strong. I'm sure there are more, indie or not.

All of the games you mentionend are in the decline, those made in Korea has declined the least but nontheless.
AoC started out with 800k subs and it now has about 100k subs and WAR had 750-800k subs and now it has about 300k subs, failures both of them.
I have no idea how many subs EQ has but I bet that it's substantionally less than the 455k subs it had in 2004 and it's 10 years old now with very sub-par graphics which will attract no new players to it.
Aion hasn't been released in the US yet but it will probably be a success for the first wo years and then the subs will drop off more rapidly over time.

Most of the Korean MMOs I listed were made by NCsoft. NCsofts Q1 Profits jumped 315%, quite a big jump for there games to be declining.
And when I said EQ, i meant it as the whole series, 1 - 2.

Not losing half of it's subs or more during the first year.

That doesn't matter either. What does matter is whether the game is making a profit. It doesn't matter if the game has ten subs or 200 million, if it still is making a profit the game is a success.
Losing lots of subs during the first year is a failure.

You fail to see as long as money is being made it is still a success.
I jsut get the feeling that SWToR has its work cut out for them.......I dont think it will surprsie anyone when this game releases and players start complaining that it isnt as good as classic SWG was or it isnt as good as the movies were........When you take IP's that have been around then people already have preconceived ideas on what they think SWToR should be.......If the game doesnt fit what they think it should be then alot of them will not play for very long.........The Jedi debate alone will drive away 50 percent regardless of which way they decide to do it.......If they allow everyone to be Jedi's then the hardcore wont like it and quit.....If they allow none or very few then the casuals wont like it because they will want to be Jedi's........There is absolutely no way the can please everyone in this game.

WAR lost lots of subs and LotRO didn't.
How is that for logic?
Even if you go from 800k to 300k you are still making a killing. You know, I have seen you disrespect WoW players on the forums, yet you carry most of there beliefs as to what makes a game successful, exactly what MMO are you playing if any?

Hello Kitty Adventure Island.
It has awesome PvP and free loot.
Thanks for proving my point.
You sure crack me up, boyo.
I don't really think that you have a point but please enlighten me.

So what, in your opinion, makes a successful game? One million subs, five million, ten million?

Not losing half of it's subs or more during the first year.

That doesn't matter either. What does matter is whether the game is making a profit. It doesn't matter if the game has ten subs or 200 million, if it still is making a profit the game is a success.

So if a game started out with only 50,000 subs, and kept all of them, it would be more of a success than a game that starts out with 800,000, and keeps 100,000? Nice logic there.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

Even if you go from 800k to 300k you are still making a killing. You know, I have seen you disrespect WoW players on the forums, yet you carry most of there beliefs as to what makes a game successful, exactly what MMO are you playing if any?
