What's the point of this BS? They aren't convincing anyone here to not play this but themselves. xD Everyone here but them is interested in TOR, hence why they are here. I assume it's like 2 people using different alts to push their agenda. Faceless nonfactor morons.

Heh. There really is no way to get this through people's skulls.
If there are truly that many people that will pay $15 to bash a game, then I pray that Bioware has a solution for them. Awful lot of customers going to waste, yah?
Or could it be you are over exaggerating the hell out of how many people are going to truly be there to complain?
I'm not planning on playing the game either way, but it isn't because the game isn't SWG.
To say I am complaining about anything is absurd. Go back to your cave.
Plenty of people are going to play the game and plenty of people are going to enjoy it. End of. No sense in worrying over people that whine on a forum, mate.

Yeah prolly.
I think TOR will be a great game, if Bioware sticks to it's guns and tell all the SWG people to xplode.
They are masters of story telling, and the game should be phenominal for playing through with a few people and exploring.
I would like to see game elements that allow for a living, breathing virtual world. There is more to SWs than 24/7 combat. Like in the real world, people eat, drink, buy, sell, they build things, they fix things, they collect things, they dance, they mingle, they party, they form relationships, they have a home, a place to work, etc. That was the most successful part of SWG Pre-CU and I would like to see that in TOR. Not just another "fight til you get bored and get all your lootz".

If you don't have a real life to do it in, then might I suggest this? You can do all the things you just talked about in that game.

We can blame the school systems though if you like.
I didn't say they would pay 15 a month to bash the game, I said 15 a month to cry about the game and what they want implemented into it.
I really do not want to play where all I have to hear is,
"Can you please please please add jar jar charming to the game"
"Can we please have player housing already"
"Can you please allow a bounty hunter to dual class a jedi"
"can you"
"can you"
"can you"
It will be annoying, and game breaking for me, I had to hear enough of it in SWG, really do not want to hear it in TOR.

Well, you should be happy with what you get in TOR, or don't play it. That's what I do when I'm not interested in a game, I won't play it. At this point we still don't know what will be in TOR and what won't. You are just speculating. As for SL, they have some decent Star Wars RP/Combat sims. Check out Little MosEisley

Has bioware even marked out anything you listed?
Let us hope they mark them all out.
Except that player owned star bases for guilds/clans. I kinda like that Idea myself. Brings clans closer together when you can chill somewhere and talk. However if it isn't there, I wont cry myself to sleep over it.
The rest of it needs to be smited by the wrath of god from the minds of TOR devs.

I agree. If you have to dance, party etc in a video game world. Your real life has to be lacking.
Different Developer, Lore, focus etc and we've already been told it won't be a world simulation but rather designed to expose the player to a great storyline.
Enjoy the game for what it is, and don't focus on what it is not.

One thing many people fail to realize is that even if all the people who are still pining for the original SWG play TOR, they probably won't make up more than 5-10% of the initial player population. Probably a good idea for BioWare to focus on the other 90-95% that will be giving the game an initial try.
As for pet classes, Star Wars isn't about creatures, it is about droids. If they add a pet class at all, it would make much more sense for it to be a droid master class. What major character in any quality Star Wars product ever ran around being followed by creatures?
And to the guy who said player cities help immersion, holy hell that is BS. Maybe if the devs designed a static city, and provided hard-coded methods by which players could interact and/or control the politics/economics of the city, that would help immersion, but a bunch of randomly placed generic buildings with signs in "leet speak" do not help any rational definition of immersion.
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.

JTL was mentioned so it shouldn't be long now before they smell it and come running.
They were talking about Player Housing being in ships on an STO forum. That would help with the clutter issue if something similar was implemented in TOR. As for dancing, yup it worked very well in SWG Pre-CU when after a long day of combat you come into the Cantina to socialize... or the Medical center.

Very true frog, and I wonder why they even want this stuff either?
Post your reasons as to why this will not be like your favorite SWG Pre-CU.
-no dual classes - Why do you need to be more than 1 thing?
-no creature handler - Go buy a dog.
-Jedi will not be rare - They aren't suppose to be rare. This is Knights of the Old Republic time frame.
-no player owned cities - Yeah like we really need 20 miles of silos and empty buildings scarring up the game world.
-player housing? - WHY do you need this? Even in games that have it, it is just a novel idea.
-player owned shops - Noone cares.
-player owned vendors - Noone cares, this particular one isn't even wanted or needed.... Ragnarok anyone? (shivers)
-player bases - Might be ok, this one I will say would be cool, if guilds could own a starbase or something.
-space combat? - Don't really need it, or care.
