Why did the Confessions thread get spiked? NOT COOL!

Either Konag and Dread OG have the same genetic antisocial promoting disorders or Konag and Dreag OG are one in the same. I have to say you "two" sound A LOT alike with the way you write (both equally bad as well). Honestly dude, or dude's brother, is "dread OG" for real? Like, those videos and this posting? Tell me it isn't so...and don't hit me with the double flying elbow move, I really geniunely want to know...
I don't feel like wasting the time to look but doesn't MMORPG have a policy against letting your account be used by someone else? If not then they are the first board I have seen without one.
Bottom line if there is a policy then instead of deleting the thread they should have banned Konnag / Dr3adOg as soon as he "admitted" to sharing his account with his "brother"
Mod actions have been very squirrely since around Feb 26, especially for mods with join dates since then.....take it for what you will.

Yeah and they'll probably ban me for what I said about konag/dread OG (mind you it was one post compared to his 20 or 30). Not only are their supposedly two people using his account but he also has a nice way of derailing decent threads until they crash and burn, so go figure. And yet I get a warning that I'm flaming and he's still here...puh-lease.
Side tracking and ruining the thread was the only purpose Dread OG had in regards to this thread. He manipulated people in to just wanting to flame him, tried to get off topic and say the same thing over and over in 20 different ways to discredit me (how when I am a hacker?), and just watched it all go down the shitter.

Agreed, moderatiion is getting over the top here sometimes, some folks can run on and on yet you can get a warning for even saying the slightest negative comment about another poster. (even if its totally true)
I can testify to that effect. I got two warnings (in March/April) for completely innocuous posts, while a certain abuser-fanboy for a little-known game called World of Somethingcraft continues to impose an inquisition policy against anyone who dares to criticize his game as though nobody has ever bothered to lower the boom on the guy. I'm all for some moderation on these boards, but not when I get the impression there is a double standard in place to let the site's darlings get away with anything, while the rest of us get warnings if we write something with a fraction of what the favourites can get away with.
I have seen threads here, lengthy, popular and respectful ones, arbitrarily getting locked because one post at the end just violated who knows what rule around here. There is a thread I remember in the Pirates of the Burning Sea section, for example, that ran from August of last year to February, without any sort of thread necromancy (the thread had 300+ replies by the end), which got locked, and the last six posts deleted, because two guys posted something extremely mild -- and one of the guys involved sent me a PM at the time to inform me that the reprehensible posts were merely criticizing the moderation on the MMORPG.com forums. It seems that with some of these threads, the moderators are just waiting for the skimpiest of excuses to step in and put a padlock on them, or make them pull an Amelia Earhart. Oh, and we even asked the thread to be reopened with the offending posts removed if they objected to them. That was three months ago, and the thread is still locked. It was pretty clear that the moderators didn't give a damn about what we were asking, and it will be the same thing here.
So that's the same little shitty moderation game I've seen played on too many forums -- the same heavy-handed moderation, while criticism of it is completely verboten; and it's on the last point, when we can't even discuss the excesses of the moderating around here, that we can use the word "censorship" regarding MMORPG.com. But anyway, this thread will probably go through the same purge, and vanish without a trace, while everybody who posted in it will get a little something in their inbox, courtesy of the MMORPG.com administrators.
When will those guys be held to account?
LMAO, unless he played original Quake deathmatch (not going to go back to the DOOM/DOOM2 days, ya couldn't jump), he didn't invent squat. Is he even that old?
In fact, the jump/reverse/shoot/reverse back was one of my favorite moves when playing the original Team Fortress matches as a Spy. Date that, biotches!!

Seriously, makes you wonder what the mods are thinking. Fact is, the original confessions thread was generating alot of interest AND raised some very serious points of discussion, Dread Og aside, and frankly isnt that what MMORPG.com is in the business of? I admit there could have been a bit of over the top comments, like my own about the "wet spot in the panties", and id not have had a issue with a sanction over that(or a mod edit!, seriously how hard is that?)...in fact im still suprised the thread for all its merits was spiked.
At any rate it is the people whom inhabit this forum from time to time I come to visit so to speak, if MMORPG proves itself incapable of allowing informative threads to be discussed perhaps they need to simply state that as the case, that only fan generated and approved topics can be discussed, otherwise all BS aside, why bother coming here at all.
At any rate I will assume this was a anomaly until events prove otherwise.

The thread was shut down because my accuser was thoroughly discredited and it was shameful to leave a thread up with so much incorrect and misleading information in the opening post.
I do find it amusing that the people that I humiliated on the first thread are trying to repeat the same arguments that were so badly shut down in hopes of less resistance this time around.
Oh and I'm still not banned. They somehow got the hacker, but they can't check my logs and do the same to me?

oh yeah? i emailed mmorpg.com staff yesterday and asked them why they deleted that thread, so maybe today or tomorrow we will know for sure.

I'd say it was a bit premature to say who was winning the argument between dr34d0g and the rest, even though that was only a small part of the discussion. That is a problem with deleting the thread, there are a lot of things that were brought up in that thread that needed to be threshed out, but now not only can we not continue the discussion naturally, we cannot even properly refer back to the discussion because it has not only been locked it has been DELETED. That's poor moderation practice at best, imo.

While I don't agree with you on being able to pinpoint who was ahead in the arguement, I do agree it is a shame it was deleted, because there were some valid discussions happening in the thread. Poor moderation indeed.

could we please get correspondent writers and moderators, on the eve forum at mmorpg.com, who are well-versed on eve-online and aren't just passersby pushing buttons? pretty please?
From what I've read, it's not that hard to become a moderator here. Especially if you are willing to lie on your application. Knowing the way that Aventurine operates, I would be very surprised if they didn't have a moderator or two planted here for years. Of course they can only do so much or it would become suspicious, but it is easy to see that some of the moderators on here see Darkfail as something they need to promote and protect, and they do what they can...... One thing I noticed is that even though the mmorpg.com forums are huge and with tons of moderators, it is always "Surfrider" who seems to lock all the threads here lately..... Is it a leap to assume he also deleted the thread in question?

Not just Darkfall. I've had some run-ins with moderators regarding World of Warcraft, especially about a certain fanboy posting over there (if you read those forums at all, he's the one with the urge to use teal-coloured font and tons of ellipses). He can seemingly get away with anything, no matter how abusive it gets.
