Originally posted by PLH2034 In coldmeat's defense ALL this info has been on the web atleast a week. And when i say on the web i mean SOE acceptable links. If you read as many sites as i do then you would have seen all he's said already. And the con system has been layed out already by Moorgard(sp) already read the latest ask soe article.<-- i think it was there.
What about this post of his:
"It's not much of a boost. I can't tell the difference with or without it. Even when my Shaman hit lvl 13 and got SoW, I couldn't really tell much of a difference, but it just wasn't worth recasting on everyone every 15 minutes. It was just not enough of a speed boost to be worthwhile. Maybe at higher levels there is an upgraded version that would be worth it."
Freeport and Qeynos have a very different feel to them. I prefer Qeynos for the city areas, but once you move out to Antonica/Commonlands, I think I like the Commonlands better.
Originally posted by Coldmeat While he was only level 20, he was a Groupx2 mob, which meant he was designed to be defeated by two groups obviously. Looked pretty cool, but the best part was the con box I got for him.
Is the "Groupx2" something that is displayed with his level? If not, how do you know if a mob is a multi-group mob?
Thanks!
When you target a mob, there are a couple factors to take into consideration before you attack. First and simplest is con color. Same as it ever was here. grey -> green -> blue -> white -> yellow -> orange -> red. The name will be displayed in the con color. Under the name in the target box is the second classification. Solo, Group, Groupx2, etc. It can also have 1 or 2 arrows up or down, if it's an overcon, or undercon, respectively.
Hey Coldmeat, thanks for the info.. One question though, could you elaborate on what "overcon" and "undercon" actually is? Does that mean like if it's a level 4 MOB and it cons as a level 5 one, it's "overcon"'d and inverse for "undercon"?
I want to see some of these dragon pix because even though there are tons of awesome eq 2 ss's i haven't seen any highend things yet guess because NDA says only lvl 1-10 which sux i heard that 11-20 is comming out soon so I can't wait!!! wish i had an eq 2 beat
I have to admit that I think this new conning system seems a bit overdone and possibly a bit assanine. But I havent realy got all the info yet and more importantly havent used it. If anyone could explain it I would be most appreciative.
I really hope they make a good loot system for big mobs. In L2 people would just run for the loot and take the focus off of other mobs and then half the ppl would still be atking lol.
Originally posted by Coldmeat under/over con meaning a blue mob, for example, that was hitting like a red con mob, or vice versa It's not overly complicated, or anything. It's a bit different at first, but after an hour or two if becomes natural.

If something get's ninja looted, then the raid leader deserves all the flack he or she gets. Looting is not done like in EQ, unless they set looting to Free For All. Any group worth a damn has looting rights set to lotto, or in the case of a raid, most likely group leader.

Hey guys, let SOE and the mods enforce the NDA. If a little something sneaks out now and then, so be it!
Thanks for the info Coldmeat.
