Hi This will be my first pc I'm building for gaming, and I'm unsure what parts to choose. Ok i'm looking for something around ?400 with the best specs possible, oh BTW I don't want a fancy case (waste of cash). I'm also looking for a site that ships to the UK. So can anyone post me links of all the things I need.

What you don't want an awesome gamer case? Without the $300 case how will people know its a gaming PC?
BTW I like the parts chosen above. I just have 2 gripes. If you don't care about the case you can go much lower, and a 65w CPU and a 45nm midrange GPU do not require a 700w PSU, the motherboard cannot even possibly make use of a 700w PSU without there being effecienct problems. So here are my suggested changes to the above.
OCZ 600w StealthXStream - 59.95 I was thinking about a 500w PSU, but that would not be enough for a dual GPU solution like the GTX295. The 600w should be enough for any setup you can possibly use on that motherboard without overclocking. EZCool also is not a good brand of PSU. That one didn't even have a power switch.
CoolerMaster Elite 330 - $28.50 Its descent case for a great price. CoolerMaster also has a pretty good build quality.
TY agricola1 (farmer1), is this all I need for a pc?.
Why do people need to know it's a gaming pc when it's just me using it?
might want a widescreen monitior newegg or tigerdirect has decent 19"+ $150-200 price range
The following statement is false

Also I would rather replace the ATI with Nvidia, do u know of a nvidia equivelant?
There is no nVidia equivalent. Closest is GeForce GTS250, but it doesn't have the same power envelopes. Here are other things you may need with a computer in addition to the above.
Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, Mousepad, Printer, Printer cable, and Operating System.
Ok ty, and what are "power envelopes"?

The closest price wise is an 8800 (about £60 on amazon) or a 9800 (about $100 on amazon). I'd go for the 8800 if you really want Nvidia as the 9800 is a rebranded 8800 but the HD 47700 out performs them both for less cash.
I was assuming when you gave a £400 price tag you already had the other gear (monitor, keyboard and mouse ect) however if you want suggestions on them just say. the 700W PSU maybe more than enough but that's the way I always like to play it personally, was unaware it could cause power issues though?
And if this is your first time assembling a PC get this click a must have for pc builders, for your tower everything is listed there. Though I will say investing in a high quality gaming case isn't neccessary but it is a good investment.

I run a 8800gt card with a dual core system and 4 gb ram with only a 500watt antec earthwatts psu and never had a single problem.
So maybe that could save you some cash.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Ok tyvm, should I just stick with ATI? I do beleive that I have everything in that toolkit already I have 3 massive toolboxes in the shed....
I would, the card is a better performer at a better price and uses less power and is the first 40NM GPU on the market. Later on you could set two up in crossfire for a very effective set up.
Also the 4770 is a great overclocker along with the CPU being a Black edition you have great potential for overclocking that set up all at very low price. You might want to look into gaming keyboards too like the G15 or Merc Stealth and gaming mice like the razer death adder. I find amazon.co.uk to have the best prices and most reliable service in the UK so look on there if you're interested.

here is a link to a review of some of the cards in your price range and how they fair,ok this is only 1 test but at least it gives you an idea, remember to goto the other page's from the link.

I use the merc stealth and it is a great gaming keyboard at a very good price, for sure 1 to look at
Though maybe I would say that as I use it :P

Power Envelopes are how much power the card draws. An 8800GT consumes quite a bit more power then the HD4770.
I never really like buying a cheap brand PSU. A bad PSU can ruin your system. A 700w PSU without a power switch is a big no no in my book. When you pull the power cable out, if the PSU is not switched off on something that draws so much power. Then it can cause a surge and fry your system. Also that system is going to consume at most 430w on full load, and typically run between 100w~250w. The higher your PSUs power, the less effecient it handles lower power.

Same here got me a merc stealth and love it, also have a razer deathadder mouse and it's the best mouse I've ever had. Once my mum saw them she wanted a backlight keyboard and a death adder for the next comp I'm building her this year!

I went with the reaper mouse as it came with a package deal with cash off with the merc.....tbh best ever on the spot decision I made ...though I guess there is alway's a better 1 around the corner

It does have an on/off switch but I picked out a fair priced one that looked of decent quality. I've never really considered the PSU being too powerfull, only worried about there not being enough, but thanks for the advice on that. I know a good quality 550W beats a low quality 800W anyday. It all depends on ampage on rails and how the power is worked out but I think you already know and it's too late for me to start discussing it as I'm going crosseyed thinking about it right now!
I bought a cheap PSU for this build at 750W and it was DOA, same symptoms Brif was having. It was a colorsIT and I'd advise against purchasing a PSU from them, I now have a Vcool 800W but you have me worried now!

I always think that with a psu it is the same with some player's that never move from nvidia to ATI,stay with what you know and what hasnt let you down.
I know for sure there are maybe better PSU's out there but I know antec has never let me down and I know when I order a 500w or whatever that is what I am getting, not some crap psu that when you look at the amps on the rails you wonder were your cash went.
edit-I always have a chuckle when someone posts they have a 1000 watt psu to run the same system as me as I know my electric bill is lower for the samething they are getting :P

Soo shall I get the PSU Agricola suggested?
Most PSU's running at below 50% load have a large drop off in efficiency and if you are paying the power bill this can add up over the course of the year. A top model has a fairly flat power efficiency curve (the $140+ models) but in most cases you will save money short and long term by buying a PSU more matched to your system needs. I would get the 600W one Cleffy suggested personally, there have been people that suggest say, a 1000W PSU for 'futureproofing' but you would lose that money in electricity even if the connections are still proper by the time you need 1000W..
The 4770 is really the inexpensive card to get atm. If you have more money you can get the 9800GTX+/GTX250. Tom's hardware has a great summary of each price range for graphics cards.
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-geforce-graphics,2296-2.html
The one Cleffy suggested is a very good brand name and I'd reccomend you get that, PSUs are one of those things that tend to be overlooked when people are building systems. I've done it to my own peril, get the OCZ 600W as I don't see how you can go wrong with it,
But if it explodes destroying your system, it was Cleffy's fault!!!!! (joke).

Tyvm, won't I need a fan and heat sink so I don't fry my processor?
It will come with the processor along with instructions on installing it and the CPU on your motherboard. The HS fan will also have a layer of thermal paste pre applied but you might want to buy a small tube just in case you need to reseat the HS later. I bought this arctic silver, I use surgical spirits if I need to clean off old paste before re applying new or to clean anywhere on the CPU itself.

TY the motherboard said 'micro ATX' is this for a micro case, because I think the one u suggested is standard size.
