I've tried both of these games and both got unique graphics style. There is no big difference in graphics between both of these games.
Gameplay is better in World of Warcraft than in Everquest 2 because of lots of events hosted by GMs (it is very promissing) Everquest got less game events than World of Warcraft. Why would you ask game events is important? Beacuse it is mmorpg (massive online role playing game) like in real life competition in game is very intresting and important.
Sounds is much much better in Everquest 2 than in World of Warcraft because let's put it simple every quest related character will talk to you with real voice. Why would you ask sounds is so important for game? Because it will make you interact with the Everquest 2 world more real and feel more exciting.
MY Conclusion: World of Warcraft if you want better gameplay Everquest 2 if you want more real interactive(user friendly) world
This is my expirience with both games from beta tester prospective and it reflects only the content that is currently in the game.

And yes, it is a war between EQ2 and WoW. To think differently would be silly. They both have had their supporters anticipating their launch(s) for quite some time now. The war began when people 'like you' go trolling on the opposers boards saying negative things about the game they are looking forward to.
I do agree with that. But EQ2 just started beta recently, so we really do not know what they have in store. Alot of people are judging EQ2 by EQI, well there are different people working on the new one, and I do not think it will be a EQI with a dramatic graphic update. Overall I think that most MMORPGS are the same, it just really narrows down to the graphics and some smaller gameplay issues. I am kinda dissappointed that WoW and EQ2 hasnt been too original.

Is there something wrong with me standing up and supporting something for which I believe in? Tell that to my 54 year old father who loves playing Call of Duty. I know plenty of 'adults' that find playing games online a hobby of theirs. I find it funny how you say I should not be playing games at the age of 26. Would it be ok if I sat down on the couch eating bon bons watching reality shows all night long ?

well one reason i still play games and still enjoy them is they are great fun and a relief from the everday junk going on, 2nd reason is im disabled and not allowed to work, or go outside much. in the games i can meet ppl chat and feel like im still alive instead of sitting in my chair and watching the junk on tv all day, or just looking out the windows at leaves blowing in the wind. in a game i sort of feel like i can do things again, even thou i know its make believe, i forget about pains and other junk and just enjoy my time in the games and meeting ppl. gets very lonely sitting alone all day, day after day till wife comes home from work, so i say if its enjoyable and fun for a person weather they 16 or 60 then go for it play the game and enjoy
LOL, well the kids need to remember its the mommy and daddy that buys and pays for their online gaming. Us old geezers foot their bills unless they are selling drugs in school on the side.
Oh yeah remember too, that us old farts design, implement, and produce the mmorpgs the kiddies play on.

Ok I guess I can understand why older people play, but I just dont think it would be good for my life once my metabolism drops down a notch and im sitting on my ass playing games for 20 years. When I get older I have different plans for fun. And also the people that design games is a whole different story, they are not the people who play them, they make them and are the creative people.
hehe, i have 2 good friends that make games, they worked on UO, and they play them also. also like super said my 3 sons also play sometimes and since they not in same state we get to spend time together sort of and i also get grandsons on there fathers accounts and spend time with them.
