Booooooring. I would love to actually discuss ideas and issues with someone instead of watching them turn it into a discussion of ME, my life choices, my voting record, whether I have been poor or not, and the like. Well, the tactics fit the ideology I suppose. The end justifies the means.

Funny you throw ad hom after ad hom with the "you vote for tyranny" routine and all that without you knowing WHO I voted for, lol. Get real man. You playing the victim ala Palin ("the evil media made me quit") isn't flattering.

Tip: When men play the victim, it doesn't elicit pity from people. It just looks plain weaksauce.

C'mon Fisher. You can level with us. Who'd you vote for in the Presidential elections?

Nader? Perot? Was it anyone we might have even HEARD of before, or do your liberty votes consist of you writing "Fishermage for President" in the box and pulling the lever?

Tell you what: I'll go first.

I voted Obama, Kerry, Gore, Clinton, Clinton, Reagan, Reagan.

Your turn. I find it hard to believe you put your own name on the ballot for that many years. So, who broke your heart? What's your voting record? Care to bare your political life on the forum?

We'll understand if you don't want to. You know, freedoms and all.

Laughing, and then being bored by your inability to argue a point is not "playing the victim." Is this what you have been reduced to? Nothing but personal attacks? You DO vote for tyranny 9at least how I define tyranny), and I don't. That's not ad hominem. That is what we are discussing here, YOU, and others in this thread, voting for and fighting for tyranny, or one small bit of tyranny, known as socialized medicine. I am arguing against that, sticking to the issue, and YOU are getting all personal, as are others. I am not a victim, you have made me the victor -- sadly, by default.
Your shabby tactics are getting duller by the minute. Care to discuss the issue?
I am happy to discuss ME all you want. Start a thread about ME and we'll chat. Otherwise, enjoy hijacking the thread by yourself.

    It's not a "tactic".

Tell us who you voted for in the past presidential elections. I've told you and I can't understand why you have anything to hide. You say you voted for liberty, truth, justice and freedom. What presidential candidate did you vote for who promised you all that? I don't remember any of the ones I voted for promising that, and you claim I voted for the oppressors of liberty.

So, exactly who did you vote for and why are you so shy about telling everyone? You've told us just about everything else. Why stop now? You can't be ashamed of your choices, can you?

Green party, Libertarian party, Patriot party.. who? Cynthia McKinney? Cmon Fisher. Throw us a bone.

I've been DOING things about it my entire life -- over the years I've been fairly active politically -- and now I am discussing it on a gaming forum. I happen to enjoy discussing things with my fellow gamers. I have no desire to run for anything -- I am doing exactly what I like to do -- share ideas with people, be challenged by people, hone my own positions on things by debating with others. All good to me. If you feel this is not a productive way to spend your time, by all means, follow thy bliss.

Either way, if you are sick of reading all this *childish expletive* from me, no one is forcing you to.

Actually, I think it's rather "childish" for a bunch of gamers to think they're somehow so politically and socially savvy that they have some sort of expertise with which to carry on said "discussions" and affect any sort of change.  I don't see anyone here proclaiming to have all the answers, but you, so when I say "bunch of gamers"....I guess really I just mean YOU.

You're absolutely correct, however, in the fact that no one is forcing me to read it.  Which I intend to cease immediately, as I don't need the frustration of reading this moronic crap every day on the gaming forums.  The only reason I've bothered with this thread at all is that I have put off canceling the automatic thread subscribe in my options, WHICH I will now do, so that my email isn't bombarded with your comments daily.

Furthermore, "bullshit" is not a "childish expletive when it refers to BULLSHIT (a word used to describe crap....as crap), which is predominantly what you're spewing around here, Mr. Know Everything.  For someone who professes Christianity, you're probably the least Christ-like person I have ever encountered, if I am to take any kind of indication from your ramblings about being "forced" to help other people.  You turned me off of your lifestyle immediately upon uttering that nonsense with such an atrocious lack of  humility or even much humanity.

And you wonder why no one listens to "Christians" any more?

Please show me where in scripture that Christ advocated using the coercive power of the state to force one group of individuals to pay for another group's health care? Or anything for that matter? No, Christ's way was to actually get out there and help people himself, which is what I am advocating.

I really want to see you point to chapter and verse where Christ said,"The GOVERNMENT must do something about this."

Jesus was all about love and liberty, not force.

As someone who is neither left nor right, and disagrees with both sides here -- I find that the most eggregious offenders by far are on the left here.

I have never been attacked from the right on the drug issue, the death penalty, torture, gay marriage, or any of the many issues I tend to agree with the left on. I have been vehemently disagreed with on those points, but never has a conservative on this site personally attacked me on these issues.

Obviously, both sides may be guilty from time to time. I am talking about standard tactics and first impulses. In that. the left is far, far worse -- at least on this site. In fact, I can't think of a single conservative who regularly posts on ths site for whom this is standard operating procedure.

The word is "moot" point (I know the language difference and I am impressed with your usual facility with English) -- but that statement does not address the issue. I am not advocating tax resistance here -- I am applying reason to the theoretical question of political economy: is the state the proper way to dispense health care. Christ did not say that. Therefore, he left it open to my reason as to whether tom advocate such uses for government.

My reason tells me let us leave the state to the things that by their very nature REQUIRE physical force, which is what government IS and does. The rest we should leave to the people. Nothing unChristlike there.

Indeed, give to Caesar that which is Caesars' -- and health care is not his.
