Not that it has anything to do with my original thread anymore, but I just thought I'd throw my 2cents in about Windows 7.
It's actually a great OS. People do have more ram these days, and it's not as big of a resource hog as vista was anyway. I dunno...as far as beta OSes go, W7 is the least buggy I've seen.
As a side effect, you will get 512 MB more free ram. Since Windows 7 needs 640MB with not programs loaded. And XP needs 64 MB with not programs loaded ( Windows 7 is bloated).
Here is the solution:
Upgrade to XP.

Funny, since as of right now I have a memory usage of 535mb while typing this, so you're off by over 100mb. And that's with 32bit.
7 is better than XP and Vista combined. Sorry to say MS didn't screw up this time. But you stick with XP or Visuck.
Most people have 2gb or more ram nowdays, by the way.
