so good so far. keeping it clean and let it roll is good so we all can see what you all think. Even for you all that aren't old enough, this is a good time for your opinion to count. If we all keep it simple maybe the STAFF will be fine with the voting. Good to know what the fans think at MMORPG image

Well this wont do to good cause alot of us are under 18 lol. Also most younger people tend to vote democratic. Still will be cool to see by the time the election happens.

actually, today i was running the teenage republican booth at my school since I'm an officer(club fest)

and three times as many people signed up for my club rather than the democrats club. (i recruited almost 90 people today!)

It's just an opinionated statement that has been created because of social issues...most of us still have ethics enough to join the right party.

    My vote is in

*take note i wasn't stating my opinion or starting an argument, just mentioning that I think young people are nearly half and half

hehe, nah. Cool my sons mom lives in Prescott. However my son and I live in Phoenix. We are in the North valley near PV. My son is about your age to but he plays RYL mainly, but I am trying to convince him that EQ2 will be cool. But he likes PvP. However he watched me play WoW and thinks it looks like crap hehehe. So I know he nor I will be playing it. I got EQ2 starter kit and have already made 4 prechars. I even got a EQ2 hat when I got the CDs for the preorder.

Hope I see you in the game.

Thank god people under 18 can't vote! Looking back at myself when I was 15 and 16.... I'm gald I couldnt vote. And anyone who says they are what there parents are get absolutely no respect from me. Even if you think it's damn boring it's still really important. When I was 15 I couldnt care less. I'm glad to see this post beacuse if there one thing I like better thatn mmorpgs its politics.

I agree, most kids of my age are the politcal party of their parents. When I would debate in my school I always see that teens know nothing about politics and they just say they are what their parents are. I think they should make the legal age of voting 21, by that time people are out of the rebelious attitude and will know "something" about politics.

I agree with you mostly up to the point about moving the age to 21. I'm 19 and a great deal of my friends and I are very involved in polotics. Sure there are quite a few idiots out there who are in the 18-20 range, but the thing is, they usually don't vote. Personally, I would be incredibly pissed if I had to wait and not be able to vote this year.

  • 92165449216544 Member Posts: 1,904

Ya I see that you would be pissed. But some things I have noticed from talking to 18-20 year old people is that they really do not know any thing. Most of them will vote for kerry cause they do not like war, but they do not know any thing else. Alot of teens think that Bush will bring back the draft when repeatably he said he will NOT bring it back. Its just some of these issues that really pisses me off. This election could really depend on the youth, since the rest of the nation is devided in half.

I would say that most 18-20 who ARE voting care about more than one issue. And it goes both ways. Alot of teens may think that bush is bringing back the draft, so they vote for Kerry. But also alot of kids just here "the terrorists are going to attack! vote for me!" from Bush so they think they should vote for him.. Thats why I have always thought that a LITTLE knowledge is a dangerous thing. It's up to voters of all ages to explore the issues and see who truly represents them.

  • Narco28Narco28 Member Posts: 300

Voting Kerry most likely because I don't want to be drafted. During the debate Kerry brought up a good point. He said BinLaden/terrorists attacked us , not Iraq. So why did we start this mess with Iraq, that with the way Bush is going we can't get out of?

Also kinda off topic....I think it's disgusting that we have to do so much to get people off their asses for one day to vote. While in ohter countries people are struggling to get the right to vote. And this whole " i dont feel represented by the candidates" argument is crap as well. There are currently NINE different people running for president this year. Don't believe me? Go pick up a voters guide. Now the cndidates may not agree with you on everything but the people running vary so much in opinion it's hard to believe you cant find someone you like.
