The more this saga goes on, the more I get the feeling that this is turning into a "Producers" situation, where GW has sold so much "stock" and so many equity interests in CME, SGW, and the various other companies, that the only way he can "get away with it" is if the game is never released and there are never any profits to divide up, because then, all the people that collectively own 400% of the companies on paper, will come knocking for their money.
If there are never any profits, no one will come looking for them.
Too bad a good IP like SG is getting turned into "Hitler in the Springtime" the musical.
No matter what GW has been saying, it doesn't matter. CEO and Owners of corportaions/Companies are just like politicians. You have to take what they say with a grain of salt.
I'm pretty sure that if you gather investments from people while making knowingly untrue representations of the financial situation, you can be held liable for fraud. This is much more true for publicly traded companies, but I believe it applies generally. This is why CME has in the past used terms like "no contractual relationship between CME and MMOGULS". Until there's an agreement, it's true. But, of course, a contract could be signed the day it ships, especially if the person who arranges said contract is the chairman of the board, or the CEO, who reports to said board. And as far as I've seen on AZ docs, GW is the only board member, unless the investors got that to change.

"Springtime for Hitler"
but your absolutely right, I've had that feeling about the situation for a while.
Not even Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder could stumble onto a profit with CME though.

I was close, I missed by a bit, so sue me...
I haven't seen that movie in about 8 or 9 years.
Mel Brooks is a genius.
I have written off any possibility for this title by this company, especially after taking the time to read into all the legal filings. It will be interesting to see how the fate of SGW: D+L 2.0 finally plays out.
Hopefully there will be some indictments and a proper cautionary tale at the end.
