Y i did like the game.. has some issues with graphics, some issues with how rangers shooting bows can be so annoying for whom is playing them.. and some graphic card overheating issues prolly related to bad geometry that needs some fixing on lvl 18-20 areas.
But overall, i did like the game. its fun.. worth playing imo. Standard Lineage 2 upgrade version.. shoulod be called Lineage 3 instead of Aion tbh :]

Yes, ive played 3 Closed Betas now and dont want to play too much, saving myself for headstart. I like the Crafting. Im taking sewing as im a Ranger and its good how you can grind Mats and experience, the grinding dosent get so repetative when your waiting for drop.
I actually hate that aspect of the crafting in this game. Although hopefully I can just purchase what I need from others. The drop rate leaves a bit to be desired in my opinion.
I love the crafting. Are you aware that the drops are only for crafting things you use and not for leveling? You get a repeatable quest (called a work order) from each trainer that requires you to make X amount of something. She provides the 'drop' for free and you buy the other ingredients right there at the shop. It costs money, but that is the primary way of leveling.
Then when you get to the level you need to be at to craft things for yourself, you use the drops you got out in the world to make useable stuff for your character. It's always a good idea to craft several of the same item because the crafting process often procs and creates a green item with an extra manastone slot and much better stats. If you are still missing some key ingredient, it will most certainly be at the Broker (Auction House). Playing in beta, the Broker was in full swing and extremely active.
Alchemy and cooking rely mostly on gathering so you can conceivably level just by making pots for yourself, but the trainer is always there to help you level for cash if you don't have enough mats.
edit: Oh, almost forgot to answer the question. I love the game.
I started playing just this weekend and only got to lvl 11 on my ranger but I have loved the game so far. The only thing I didn't like was that people seemed to just ignore each other. I would see people struggling to kill a mob and there would be healers walking by and they wouldn't heal them. Other than that my beta experience was great.
Overall, love the game so far. The character creation alone is worth checking out...its the best I've seen in any game so far (MMO and single player). I've seen some sweet looking toons as well as some horribly made toons but thats nice thing about Aion...you can make your character look like whatever you want.
I hope with future patches Aion only gets better which will defiently draw in even more of a crowd because its already a great game, pre-1.5 :-)

+1
This is what I've always thought Aion as.

"I play Tera for the gameplay"
Yes I do. I've been playing Beta events in NA servers.
Very refreshing experience. Love the game and I will play retail version.
If you are a WoW player, take in mind Aion is a more difficult game overall. It's more challenging, but I love that.
Its difficulty is more like Vanilla WoW. Checkers is more difficult than WoW these days.
