I too play with xbox 360 controller and I enjoy it. Had a hard time though with certain functions
For instance there was no button to display map
Also, if there were 2 blinkies side-by-side using the controller I had no way to choose my selection.
If they can just resolve these 2 things they have a winner.
My friend showed me how to block with my controller but it took us awhile to solve (LT + RT)
Funny thing is i had no idea the game used the controller. I just happened to have my controller plugged in and I finally realized the game was showing me xbox360 buttons on my UI cause it detected it
I would rather Play on a keyboard. I use macros so setting up attack chains is easy, and it saves wear and tear on my poor wittow fingers. Besides I have much better control using a mouse than any gamepad
So you are saying you like to cheat and/or lack the talent to play the game as intended huh?
How is that cheating, and how does it show that he lacks talent? Mashing buttons in a game is talent now?

Yes, the xbox controller has two analog sticks, but one analog stick controls what the mouse would normally do. A PC game pad with an analog stick combined with a gaming mouse is a much better option. If you like the Xbox 360 controller, then that is cool. But have you tried other things? The Xbox controller just doesn't have the versitility of a mouse and pc game pad.
man that would take some talent, hold a gamepad and use a mouse? you have to be joking right? how could you hold and effectively use a gamepad one-handed? you must have meant to say something different, this make no damn sense
No, the problem is that you are thinking that a PC game pad is the same as a console game pad. Look up the Saitek Cyborg Command Unit. It is a one handed unit which is stationary.
Edit: For visual effect, for those that don't know:
The 4/8 way where your thumb rests, how does that work? Analog? D-Pad? Is it an 4 or 8 way? Or more like a hat? Thanks.

Although it does look like a 4/8 way or a d-pad, it is an analog stick. The graphic just doesn't show it well. It is a stubby little analog stick, but works perfectly. You don't need to work it like an analog stick though, and that is the beauty. Instead of having it programmed to press the WASD keys, you could actually set it up to act as a mouse, or even as hotkeys. So, moving the analog to the left could be 1, right 2, up 3, and down 4. The diagonals can be programmed as well. Hell, it can even be programmed for sensitivity. So, a 20% move to the right is 1, 50% move is 2, and 100% move to the right is 3, and so on. Due to that, you can also program it to walk your character when only pressed slightly, run when pushed a good amount, and then sprint (for FPS games, or games with spring, like AoC) when fully pressed over.
As I said, it is VERY versitile. Their Cyborg Mouse is impressive as well, since it has a hat switch for your thumb, in addition to three other thumb buttons. So, I can effectively do all movement with just the mouse if I wanted, by programming the hat switch to movement, and using the mouse itself as the "look". Works great if you only have one hand to play with while trying to eat, or operate something else, because I can program the mouse for all movement, and can do it with the pad as well, meaning that a single hand can control the character, or you can use both hands for ultimate control. And, it has on the fly profile changes, as well as shift states.
