Anyone know what's up with the Warhammer servers today? i can't log in or get to their website.

I just got of the phone with EA and its a total crash over their at WAR even they are locked out and can do nothing no ETA on when every thing might be up again.
Could this be the end?
Did anyone play hellgate londond? how did their servers end? was it anounced or just dead?
Hellgate was announced, but you might be right about Warhammer. I don't expect anything classy from that bunch.

Mythic's posted on other forums they seem to be having ISP related outage problems which is effecting most of there network Warhammer and DAOC are both down.
Kind of funny when a whole game can go down unplanned with no ETA on uptime, you'd almost think there'd be some kind of backup system in place for just this type of issue. Kind of funny.
It isn't Mythics hardware thats failed(this time) there's a problem at another company thats effecting connectivity to the game servers.
Do you really expect professionalism from Mythic? I don't.

Yes it's called redundancy, you create systems so that they can not have a single point of failure. Clearly Mythic never heard of that concept.
EA hrmm i'd trust mythic anyday but EA no way, Earth And Beyond anyone?
Never played it, but I played Warhammer for almost a year, and I wouldn't trust Mythic with the key to the outhouse.

I was referring to a cool MMO back in the day EA bought of Westwood Studios and just simply shut it down.
DAOC is down too. Andy from Mythic says a cable got cut...said verizon's fault and such.
This game has to be joking;
Weve all seen unstable servers before; but an entire game plus their web site to crash unexpectedly with no back up system !

From whats been said it seem likely that War will be down for at least the rest of the day maybe even part of tomorrow.
Funny facts about this outage.
-5h00pm Mythic forums said update at 7h00pm, they couldn't deliver and the update was announced at 7h15pm
-7h15pm Mythic now announce update "around" 9h00pm
Even with this situation Mythic cannot deliver on time, then change the rule... 1.30b...1.3.1 LOL
So the game is offline but their giving interviews?

South Korean launch? Interesting, we shall see how this goes. I am still enjoying playing but I am mega burned out on everything else. I hope they roll out changes soon.
Crafting fixes and more crafting in general would help.
Wow, didn't you see the info above. I read it elsewhere myself. It is NOT Mythics fault, a fiber cable was cut. Verizon is already on it but it may be into tomorrow. Not Mythics fault at all. BTW, how do you back up a fiber cut? You don't, that is PHYSICAL damage not online based. Thanks.

Mirrored DR servers located in a different part of the country/world on a different network/fiber. (at least that's how my company does it)
Never put all of your eggs in one basket.
But yeah, its just a game, and downtime happens, no big deal.

What kind of credit do you expect? Do you get a credit when your disk goes out in a storm? Get real! I think that Mythic definitly should have a plan b but I don't expect compensation.

I have read on a few boards tonight about Mythic giving this or that for this downtime. I know we pay to play and peeps get jumpy and want compensation. Personally, I don't need anything, just want Mythic to get the game up then perfect it and bring all those QQer's back.
I don't play many MMO's but when I do, I prefer WAR.
