I have confidence in you, that now when you acknowledge the risk you could drive that car safely.
Yes, but it's not MY driving I am worried about.
Yes we all are thinking like that. I would promise you though that you are safer inside your car when someone rams into you then outside it. And you could minimize that risk even further by driving safely yourself, as you will have a bigger chance to correct the other drivers mistake. Which should bring us back to that "you could drive that car safely" further down the road of that part of this discussion.
You do know how to avoid these risks that I assume that you are referring to so use that knowledge and you'll be "safe".

Credit is for suckers. If you wish to be paranoid, there's certainly nothing wrong with that. Paranoia, to a certain degree, can be healthy. I've had my debit card hijacked and used for porn. Quite a bit of porn ($2000 worth in a month.) Turns out my roommate at the time had used one of my checks that I paid him to get the numbers off of and gone on a masturbatory spree of the likes no one had ever seen before apparently. The bank refunded me the money that was spent. It was a pain and all, but I still use my credit card online quite a bit. So just because you think you're 'off the grid' doesn't mean you are, or that you're safe, and especially not 'cool'. Also, by logging in with your laptop, you're pretty much broadcasting where you are, so you're hardly being 'spookish'. You're confusing me with another poster. If you want to pay for things with cash and such, then feel free. It's a free country and all that, but quit whining when you find out that the rest of the country has moved on without you. Waaaah....I'm not a member of the 21st century and can't take advantage of the good things while avoiding the bad things.
I wasn't whining, but if you want to sink to the usual level of forum poster, go ahead. It's a 'free' country.

Credit is a reality. I don't believe you about 'paying up front for a new car' A used car perhaps, but doubtful about a new car, but it's immaterial. Honestly, this discussion is extraneous. You're point is that you should be allowed to do business with an entity that is located some distance away by using cash, which is very unreliable unless you hand it over personally, hence the whole idea of checks/credit/etc.
As for confusing you, you're quite vain to think I was even speaking to you in the first place.

One can save a lot of money by not buying on credit. Honestly, this discussion is extraneous. For cash. In stores. WoW, Warhammer, and I believe several others. As for confusing you, you're quite vain to think I was even speaking to you in the first place.
You quoted me, hence, you were addressing me.
