Man game is out less then a week and there are ppl lvl 37+ ....... Where is the grind in that ?? They will hit max lvl in 2 weeks ?? Come on there is no more grind then any other AAA MMO out there. Hell i play a few hours a day and lvl 19 already super easy. in OB i got to 26 with in 2 OB's

I'm up to lvl 22 on one char and the thought of logging back in and grinding some more is making me feel a bit nauseated. In fact, I'd rather watch Glee. That's a pretty bad sign.
I'm not up to that point but if I was and felt the same way I certainly wouldnt post here and tell everybody about it....I'd cancel my sub and go outside more LOL. Anyways, good luck with that!

I'm thinking its the moaning and graoning about a bit of a grind that's why. Hell they added qests to the 1.5 patch because their wasn't enough quests to begin with. People just need to find the quests that are spread out from the city. If you need help finding quests their is Aion Armory with which you can look to.
Could the "feeling of grind" come from the fact that those saying it's a grind fest try to solo mostly or something?
I know if I play any mmo alone, I get that feeling faster, while killing mobs or questing (I don't know why people think it's less "grindy" to go from quest hubs to quest hubs doing the same thing.. but that's another issue)...

1.5 added a ton of new quest and fix some xp problems. Now if you solo ya it is a grind. You need to group sometimes to do the better quest. Even with the short time am on i find parties fast and they group quest seem to go by fast. Am also a chanter

you guys should stop whining and play your game right. If you have someone group with you then you can do quest alot faster. Compare to AOC you can pull 2-3monster at your lv. But in Aion you can only attack once (atleast for me Sin).
The reason why ppl think this is a grind mmo because this is korean mmo, and the gameplay might different from your Aoc, WOW, War.
If people love shalloow, thoughtless gameplay, Aion is definitely for them

1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.
told yah, NcSoft does this all the time, they have a somewhat cohesive storyline for a few levels , usually up to 25-30, then your off to grind grind grind, good luck with that. If people love shalloow, thoughtless gameplay, Aion is definitely for them

Co is just a inner child game wher eyou can throw on a costume and kick bad guy butt ! Aion is like a coolwhip pie, tastes good, but no filling or crust.
What level did you get to? I ask because I don't think you can really judge this game before ATLEAST level 25..which is what I plan to do.

When you want to piss people off it's an easy avenue to take because every mmo has them so you really can't argue the point. You're better off taking it lightly and realizing they're either trying to get a rise out of people, incredibly stupid, or just as prone to the bandwagon mentality as those they like to try and call out.

Have u ever heard.. powerleveling? Those who are 37 can speak chinese or there are 2 people playing in the same account non-stop. They also have a good knowledge of the game because they have played asian version and EU beta stages. There is no other way to reach 37 trust me. And even lower levels.
The game is good i said that before but gridning is crawling to you sooner or later.. I decided to do it earlier by not doing higher level quests. Some people like it, other's don't. Of course noone will ever force you to level quick. Grind 2-3 hours.. go out have a life and repeat the next day. U ll hit 50 in a couple of months.
The amount of experience per kill and the quest rewards of experience begin to suck big time around level 18. I can only imagine it gets worse from there upward.
But then again, F*&^ the game that makes you wait in line for 4 hours just to play it.
I had to grind from lvl 18 to lv 20, however, after that there were enough quests to get me to lvl 30. Trust me man, go to therbombos if you run out of quests. That place'll get you caught up.
Grind is part of any mmo, while I tend to agree that I feel that controls are bit clunky still with mouselook issues I can live with it but it definitely does not make the grind feel enjoyable as the controls keep interfering.
If you don't like queues don't roll Asmo, simple as that - totally overpopulated faction and they're trying to control it and doing pretty good job so far, let's see what happens after today.

I must be one of the lucky minority then with queue times in the single digit of minutes for the whole headstart, first day excluded.
