I'm up to lvl 22 on one char and the thought of logging back in and grinding some more is making me feel a bit nauseated. In fact, I'd rather watch Glee. That's a pretty bad sign.
I havent met an MMO without a "grind" in it in some form or another -- and I started playing them in '99. My advice to you, is if you dont like the "grind" then MMOs might not be your cup of tea. Try a console or play some FPS, RTS, single player RPGs -- heck go outside and get some excercise -- but forget about MMOs -- its not your thing dude.
I play EVE and i dont need to grind to be rich and sucessful in this game.

That's a ridiculous thing to say. There are many ways to make games not so much of a grind, and the amount you have to go through in Aion (yes, even in early levels) is horrendous.
But as sales show, there are too many mindless saps that get off on the grind. This is the kind of people Aion will mostly be composed of. I on the other hand, have better MMOs to spend my focus and time on.

Oh yes, I'll agree that they too have too much of a grind. And no, I haven't played Aion since launch, but I played it in beta (hence why I didn't buy it).
My point is that there are ways to reduce the grind or remove it completely, and it bothers me that all these themepark MMOs that have come out seem to strive to put in a heavy grind.

Now you do know beta was 1.1 and launch is 1.5 they added alot of new quest and change some XP around. But i think you are missing my point. PPL get mad it takes more then a week to max, on the flip side if you max out in a few days (AoC) then you have nothing to do and leave because you are bored. So where do you draw the line? FFXI everyone knows takes a good month to max and a party is a must, now that game is still around and very stable.
Played Aoc/DDO/FFXI/WAR / LoTRo / CO / Aion Playing Rift

Apparently those "better MMOS" arent "better" enough to drag you away from the AION forums.

every MMO has a grind. PERIOD. But if some clown doesnt like game X, it is because it has a grind. Of course the game they play has a grind, but thats all fine and dandy with them. Because, and everyone repeat after me -- "EVERY MMO HAS A GRIND !!"
