That succubus one... just a girl in a bikini which crappy wings and horns. That Taruen one, just ugly, dont know whats going on in the one with the goblin chasing the guy, but it looks creepy. Didnt really the shaman one either.

The Shaman is from WarCraft III. I never played a horde character in the stress test, so I dont know if there are any shaman dressed characters in the game, but if there are, I guess it counts.

It is ridiculous claiming that video games influence children. For instance, if Pac-Man affected kids born in the 80's, we should by now have a bunch of teenagers who run around darkened rooms and eat pills while listening to monotonous music!

Some of the winners outfits were pretty cool, others look like they just emerged from a tub of dye and jumped in the first thing they saw, Moukin I think your outfit was one of the best and you should have been mentioned.
That girl posted some more pics of her costume in the forums. Her face looked much more feminine in the other pics...that angle just caught her profile in an unflattering way. Her costume also looked nicer when you could see the whole thing better.
Well, kudos for everyone who made their own costumes, and some of the pumpkins were out of this world (really love the undead female one), my sloppy smached pumpkin entry didn't make it, I wonder why?
Guessing (because of your costume) you are going to play a night elf rogue? If so, we should get on the same server for Open Beta and Retail, Im probably going night elf warrior.
That goes for anyone else playing a night elf here also.

And Re: whoever thought the other girl looked masculine.... Pika?! Perhaps you failed to notice she had breasts. While not 100% proof of femininity in the gaming community, it's usually a pretty accurate indicator.
It's Nita (Pika???), and I took it back after seeing her other pictures, the picture WoW features just showed more boyish features. I for one have no problem with women in the gaming community, if I did I'd be a bit of a hypocrite.

You can't see them anymore since the forums are down, but the succubus did post the rest of the picture and it was an exact duplicate of the one ingame, and almost everyone agreed with that. Blizzard just can't show her midsection (you may have notice they cut off other female outfits in the HM). Moreover, Blizzard devs posted ,ultiple times on that forum who criticized the costume saying she did an EXACT match to the succubus in game, and they wish they could've shown more. They were really impressed with it. This includes the designs on the clothing, tatoots, tail, hooves, whip, etc...
Some of the other's, however, I believe shouldn't have won. There were a few HM's that should've been up there. However many were submitted past the deadline or were ineligible to win. Plus, they got tons of NE elf costumes so they may have decided to go after other's more unique. I still think some NE costumes were sweet as hell, like the Illidian one, but we'll never know all their reasoning.
Nice work on the costume! I can't imagine why it didn't at least make honorable mention.
And to the nay-sayer, not every woman who posts an image of herself on the boards is fishing for compliments. It was very obvious that Moukin's reason, as opposed to some others I've seen on these boards, was to get other people to show off what they entered.
I wish I could have entered, but I just don't have any money for costuming this year. And I can't even afford food to eat, nevermind food to carve up, take pictures of and throw away!
