Raw Cloth

Clever_GloveClever_Glove Member Posts: 996

What do you do with it? Nothing seems to be crafted from it, can you convert it into other materal types?

Come to think of it, I've never seen silk drop (or recieve from salvage) where do you get it?

Thanks

You have to be kidding me! Raw cloth has to be the most coveted item drop by every non-metal wearing class. But I'll back off since it's sounding like you aren't one of thoes classes. To answer your question, raw cloth is the fundamental ingrediant to making cloth armor. In fact it's a very rare loot drop and the vendor sells it for an insaine price (thats if he has it in stock..ugh). I found myself practically selling my body just to get atleast one unit of that stuff.

I think hes asking because some classes do not need cloth. You can only craft armor your your specific class. So a monk and a warrior would need different crafting materials for there armor.

I really hope that they make cloth drop more frequently or at least avaliable from a merchant for a better price.  I was never able to make one piece of armor over the period of the World Event.  The only frustrating part of the game.

Actually the problem is in the GUI.

I take things very litterally when it comes to trade skills. (from years of EQ, where "metal bar" and "a metal" are diffent). I had "Raw bolts of cloth", the crafter says you need "bolts of cloth" with the word "raw"

So from experance I didn't assume they where the same.. but they are. Silk comes from the higher level missions, and salavages. Once I started doing those I had more cloth than I could shake a stick at.

I gave up on getting silk, and settled for the armor that needed the Iron ignots. It was more expensive, but it saved time trying to get all those silk bolts.

In fact it's best to do the Missions, I wasted a bit of time in exploration zones trying to get loot to drop. Once again, an old bad EQ habbit.

Also be sure to check all the crafting item vendor, I got allot of what I needed off them. (or would buy items people where spaming for and sell it to them at a mark up.)

Down time and camping are ideas that will be forgotten all too soon. If your not playing Guild Wars your playing with something dead.

What did you mother say about playing with dead things?
