I thought about choice number 1, played for the free month and didnt renew... because I couldnt. they wont accept my CC. others are having the same problem. they dont want my money, so im moving on. oh, the game crashes now too.
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
Why the hell does everyone here always fight like a bunch of kids? It feels like "Xbox Live, The Later Years".
I unsubbed today before going into my 3rd month. The first month was great, the second was horrible. There are still bots everywhere and I find the grind to be horribly boring. Disappointed, but at least levels 1-20 and some PVP battles were fun.
BTW, the results clearly show that 2/3 of players are disappointed with Aion and either have left already or are going to leave soon. Which resembles Xfire statistics pretty closely.
So Xfire is inaccurate? ;-)

No theres a difference:
1.xfire is like you said just a small sample (1:50 - 1:200 depending on game and genre) out of actual playing or once playing people.
I could claim now the majority of the younger fps, sologamer and instant gratification crowd which makes up most of the xfire userbase went back to their old games as Aion was not their thing with all that tactics, socializing and largescale battles stuff, while they excuse this blaming it on "bad gamemechanics", while the other MMO player stayed in Aion. The trend in xfire would proves this developement.
Its would hold the same merrit as claiming Aion must have lost X% of its playerbase because xfire shows a trend of X% loss in xfire user.
Its just a matter of biased interpretation and the fitting made up assumptions.
2.This poll here is not a sample but just pointless as everyone can vote without playing the game in first place.
Now think about the fact there are dozen of "truthers" and "constructive criticism" poster trying to spread their slander with their "facts" "calculations" and "logical concequences" or "experience", and how this game will /is failing/failed for years now.
There are even people posting on multiple accounts to make it appear like there are even more people with the same opinion or whenever they got proven wrong undeniable even by them, they hide for a few months while posting with their other accounts until people forgot. (just remember when its was a "fact" Aionserver could never hold more than 3k-3.5k conc user because it was "technically impossible" and now we where hitting numbers double of that.)
What would suddenly hinder these persons to vote a negative option next to their daily posts, even if they never played it in first place like multiple even admitted in other posts? They wouldnt even need to bother to make a new mmorpg account.
While on the other hand most people who quit that game actually dont even bother to go a Aion forum and voting. But its just a baseless assumption the above mentioned trolls would just make up for exactly the ammount of missing people not voting.
Baseless assumption... Sort of like your post, right?

Fine. Let's imagine that it's 1/2 (heck, even 1/3). It's still too steep for so new a game. Not everyone bought/received his box on day 1, not everyone rushed to 50 like crazy.
While people are leveling their first chars they should feel happy or endgame will be totally unbearable for them. Endgame is always more repetitive, predictable and boring. SSDD, as they say. It's like old age to the happy days of youth, and every veteran envies "noobs" because they see that "magic" he can discern no longer. Novelty is fleeting, but grind, wipes and dramas stay forever.
And if so many people quit after their free month, who will play Aion in a year. Koreans?
PS for a russian you have outstanding english skills.
Only for a Russian? :-) Damn, sounds like I need to practice more.

Not more than your post that is claiming my post is just baseless assumption.
My whole point is that the long rant of yours complaining about the original post being nothing more than a baseless assumption, was also nothing than a baseless assumption. I mean, you're complaining about a baseless assumption and use baseless assumptions in your argument?
I bought Aion the day it came out, and even renewed for a month... however now I regret that choice.
Not because Aion is bad, or too boring, I just don't have the time anymore. Real life has sucked all my free time away and I rarely (if ever) play games anymore.
Still, once real life has calmed down Im sure I'll be back into Aion.

So you just lack reading comprehension?
I was pointing out the claims are all based on baseless assumptions and provided examples of what I could claim with assumptions. You might no got that. Im not complaining about assumption I point out assumptions. Then complain about people reapeating and pounding on their assumptions while claiming their assumptions are fact because some other unrelated numbers are factual.
And the second part is basic logic. If we cant be shure its not accurate its useless. I dont call it useless because there are people who would vote negatively on them as they admitted to do anything even if its a lie to hurt the game. Its there mere open possibility itself for people like them to vote that way is making the vote useless as no one can prove or asure its not that way.Nothing hinders them, why could they not? Thats basic logic not an assumption.
Or are you just trying to troll by going ad absurdum?
Except you are pounding on the empirical goddamn no one knows allready how often proven point that the major part of people are not wasting their time on a specific games (sub)forum after they quit but move one and just a small vocal minority remains. The rest are either examples of assumptions, questions or positive/negative facts simply verifiable to be positive by rereading them from records, no baseless assumptions.
If you cant comprehend the difference. Too bad for you.
If you want to troll me after you felt addressed when i was talking about people pounding on their baseless assumptions. Too bad for you.
If you cant live with that and find some flawed argument or semantic game for a comeback. Too bad for you i wont bother, as you didnt have a point to begin with.
I don't lack reading comprehension. It's just that your whole claim is based on "baseless assumptions." Because everything about your post has to do with you assuming to be correct.

The problem with number 1 is that xfire has been almost dead-on accurate for the past year and a half since I've been following other MMOs besides WoW. For example, it accurately showed the decline of AOC and Warhammer months before official numbers were released.
I can just report what I see, I'm still playing and enjoying. Our server Castor seems still pretty much crowded. My guild has 83 players of which none have been online for over 15 days. So my guess is that Aion is still alive and kicking.
My guild has 83 players of which none have been online for over 15 days.
So it's you and your 82 imaginary friends? ;-)
if a guild of that size has no active members, and not having been online for a few weeks pretty much puts them in the inactive category for me, then you have to wonder, maybe they didnt resub to the game? i can imagine taking a break for a few days, but... not that long.
Forums have been quiet lately... how many are actually left by now?
Left in the forums or the game?
Personally was getting entirely too negative by visiting this site so took a break from it and just kept on playing and having a bit of fun. For my server and my legion the population seems pretty stable with a good number of players running up and down in all the zones. My legion has had some people leave to move onto other legions and we have kicked a few due to being inactive but we pretty consistently have over 80 players in the legion with around 50 on every night and higher on the weekends.

Same with me... Also left the forums for a while because every post was just so negative. No useful comments could be made without it turning into a flame war....
Im on a new server and I always see people... at every level bracket (not so much from 1-10 though)....
But most legions are still strong - a lot of people playing - run into lots of rifters in each zone, etc... also notice more crafters coming up in the ranks as things that used to sell for a lot have dropped in value. This could also be due to the botters going away at a rapid pace....
Either way - I don't find much difference from now since launch - at least not in my collective little bubble
Once something better comes out I'm leaving Aion in a heartbeat. The only thing it has going and the reason I still play it is there's nothing else out there right now.
The poll is accurate and also people should realize very very few new players are signing on.
It is almost impossible to get a temp and/or a cleric for the lvl 16 BC missions. One time I saw 2 templars on that are from lvl 16 to 20. Most of the low lvl toons are alts and most alts are rangers/sorcs cause people have realized these classes are the easiest to lvl solo and also OP re PVP.
My original legion has disbanded as 99% have left. Aion is dying. Servers wil have to merge soon. The only ones left in the end will prolly be sorcs and rangers with Abyss gear.

joking aside tho Aion was one of the biggest Mmo dissapointments I have ever had. Exept for maybe Champions but they are both awful . Shame really they both could have been great games.

stupid place to have a poll MMORPG is 95% trolls
with no 'view resuslts' option, people who haven't played will click an answer randomly to see the results.

This is one of the biggest MMO sites on the net and I've found that more and more Dev's need to start hearing us out.

yes but the devs know that an average poster here has 20 sock puppets so in reality the player sample is lot smaller than you want it to seem
