Yeah you can go ahead and leave now. Your first post. Probably an alt account made by the OP to try to make it seem like he has more support. kewl story
Uh... he's actually supporting the view against the OP, think you might wanna re-read that lol.

Strange that you noticed the amount of posts I have made, but not the date I have joined this forum??

Oh, lol sorry. I'm just very suspcious of this entire thread. QFT also means "QUIT F***ING TYPING". Most people use it for that rather than the quoted for truth, at least on these boards it seems.
I didn't read every response in the thread, but...am I the ONLY one who read the title of the discussion post as: "WoW devs are having a meltdown?" And then came here because I believed yes....WoW devs ARE having a meltdown. That has GOT to be the reason for what's happening in that game.
Am I the only one? (OMG...I bet I am....and now I've embarrassed myself.)
Nope I thought the samething too until I read the linked post.
"Fanboys" too.... the think is that everyone keeps saying the same thing since DFO beta lol
And I'm even more convinced this is just another troll thread by the OP.
Again, there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that says a beta has to be conducted in any manner. Especially a closed beta.
WAR ran their beta in a similar, but different, style. During the WAR CB phases certain features were turned off or on from phase to phase in order to test them. Some features would withheld because they weren't finished and then put in during another phase.
To be fair, the WAR beta is one of the major reasons why WAR turned out so badly. I won't go into detail about it here, but rest assured that the entirety of the WAR beta was a complete joke. I was in it as an elder tester and I was shocked to see how Mythic conducted themselves with their testing.

Which is exactly shows the reason that if you stray from the generally accepted definition of beta to remake it into something you feel is "Kind of" a beta, you will suffer the consequences.
Beta is feature complete by definition for a REASON. You can say you're in beta and have features turned off -- you're really not, but when you launch all those things that you did by not following the proper software development lifecycle (SDLC) will generally bite you in the butt.
often game dev plan the game but not the the how it will be delivered to the client and when they do think about it its month if not years too late then it tech for network say why didnt you come to us at first before starting to design the game, and often the response is :TOO COSTLY!
They had a great plan on paper, but the amount of work involved to deliver that vision of the game was far more than an amateur team could handle. Good management would have dictated "Well, we are making cuts -- you won't see housing, thieving, crafting, etc" and they could have focused on the CORE gameplay. You know, like EVE did.
EVE launched with horrible graphics, a bad UI, and no really great PvE. But they launched with a killer feature -- amazing politics and PvP from the START. That's why people STAYED with EVE, and it grew over time -- because the core of the game was really, really good.
What "killer feature" does MO have? The combat sucks. The magic system is barely functional. The crafting system might get better, but who's gonna craft if all the PvPers leave? There won't be anybody to craft FOR. Again... this is screaming bad management from the beginning, and I pointed it out on the MO forums, and I'm just showing that it manifests itself even more now as time goes on. And people wonder why I think this game is doomed. *shrug*
You do understand that hardly anybody cares about what you say... don't you?
Nothing a disgruntaled BANNED player (IE: Hercules) says about Mortal Online is going to matter, simply because your rants are not based on reality, but vitriol. You are angry because you were BANNED, you are angry because the game isn't released, you are angry because you and your friends cannot HACK in a released game, etc..
Yet, you sit here EVERY day and tell the community how bad and pisspoor Mortal Online is, yet almost every remark makes you eat crow a few weeks later when whatever trivial aspect you are complaining about get fixed
Yet... you keep comming here, posting every hour about a game you hate..!
Why..?
The answer is that you are simply a massive troll. Who obviously doesn't have much expience playing MMORPG's (unless you'd understand what a beta process is)... so you are a newb, with an ego... who got BANNED... ROTFLMAO..!!

Sorry but Hercules makes intelligent posts with argumentation and isn't just bashing MO for the sake of trolling. He brings valid arguments on the table with regards to game balance and playability.
It's the Developers that are traditionally ignoring some of the most commonly voiced opinions on the internet, and then wonder why their game crashed and burned after launch...

graphic card and direct x 11 do a lot of the graphical hard work
everquest did that back in the day they banked on the fact people would get new card so graphic would be nice and
it was a good call back then
Umm, I beg to differ. EQ2 had ridiculous graphical requirements at launch. WoW launched almost simulataneously. Guess which was the bigger success?
And don't get me wrong, a good looking game is very important to me. Just pointing out a fact.
