My god how do you people deal with this guy? This is exactly why I hardly ever post on these forums it's like a breeding ground for ignorance. And I've always thought the notion that anything in a video game is inherently hard was ridiculous unless you have some kind of physical or mental disability. You are not better at pressing buttons than anyone else dude, at least not better at anything that matters in the slightest, and you definitely aren't more intelligent you've proven that time and time again.
I just skip past his posts and just have fun reading all the people that are smarter than him
I am better, that is why my guild did Naxx40 while you guys were stuck wiping on the rubble-rousers & trash running around Molten Core.
I'm world first material in any game I play. That is why I don't find any challenge to brainless MMORPGs like WoW.
WoW = larger time investment than any other MMORPG, and the bad part is it's dumbed down content that isn't fun.
WoW is no more casual than EQ was. EQ required less time investment, the difference was skill level.
But you can continue to play WoW 4 hours a day and claim it is some sort of casual game. It has become a game for people who can't think and plan. EQ on the other hand, that required some skill and coordination.
Ginkeq there's a call for you....it's 2007, there asking if they can have their forum post back...
Seriously this, 'I hate WoW now cos they let the superbadz get best lootz' arguement is over now, it has been for years, people like you are as bad as the NGE whiners. You have to realise something, it might be hard to accept but......Blizzard and companies like them don't give a shit about people like you. 'Casuals' have expanded their playerbase beyond anyones expectations. Why? Becasue Blizzard exploited a market which was untapped, that of the semi aware person who wanted something fun to do.
Did it annoy you and others? For sure, but 9-10million others,( who will fork out for pointless vanity pets as well), earns Blizzard more money then you and your noble band of interwebz tough guys and thats who their going to listen to, not you.
Key thing is here, don't play it anymore if you don't think it's worth your cash. It sounds like you had a good time with the game anyway and nothing last forever eh?

Rarely. And you could tell who was an ebayer in EQ.
But in a game like WoW you can't tell an ebayer from a normal player, pretty much the same level of skill required by each of them

Aye, a friend of mine did that for a while. Power leveled accounts and sold them for over $700 each. I think in the end he sold over 200 accounts in under a year.
There were several sites dedicated to EQ accounts as well, not just Ebay (though it was im guessing the safest).
There are 3 types of people in the world. 1.) Those who make things happen 2.) Those who watch things happen 3.) And those who wonder "What the %#*& just happened?!"
Does the OP mean that bad players use that they are casual as an excuse for being bad?
Seems that way to me.
I'm pretty casual. Though I have been running 25-mans 3 times a week. Whole guild is casual, and we've cleared the new bosses that Blizz has released so far. Got some pretty good gear too.
Casual and have a life, and I don't "suck at MMOs".
Nice way to over generalize everything in a single post OP. Casuals may spend more time in game than a hardcore player, they just don't feel like being chained up to 39 other people to do it. I pay my own subscription, not you or anyone else. Therefore, i CHOOSE not to play the hardcore way and try my best to enjoy every aspect of it. In my opinion, the no talentassclowns are those who choose to follow like good sheeple some smelly guild/raid leader around on a freaking leash for four hours a night.
Casuals are whining crybabies who suck at MMORPGs.
They will log on, and be like "No, I want to role play and stare at the night elf guards in the nigh elf town all day"
A hardcore player sees through that, and they will go clear the toughest content in the game.
And I pay for my game too. The only difference is that I play MMORPGs that are challenging and you play them and say look at the pretty night elf NPCs in this town.
See there you go again with the generalizations. I am casual yet in every game i play, i always attempt the difficult and challenging. I just do it on my own. People of your simple mentality don't realize that when someone is out there in the field on their own, they have only themselves to win a fight.
Nobody to back them up with crowd control, noone to off tank, noone to spot heal.
Oh, and if you think that video games take still, you are sorely mistaken. It is all in repetition. Do something enough and you can do it in your sleep.
I would imagine that if developers would put 100's of random stances in raid and group scripts, you would find raiders crying in their cheerios more often than not. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the timing and memorize raid scripts.
Don't confuse repetition with skill.
Anyway, i think you are just an interweb troll out looking to ruffell peoples feathers. I will cease from feeding said troll.

Yeah, it's hard to win the solo PVE fights in WoW.
It's not like you can't solo to 80 while spamming the same button over and over. The grind is worse than older games, because in older games the NPC actually was capable of killing you. Nowadays you'd have to go afk to get killed.
Only WoW is pure repetition, there were many MMORPGs before WoW where you could wipe if you did something stupid. If someone pulls agro on Seru, your whole raid will wipe. Many encounters were like that.

I don't know if anyone told you, but there are a lot of other MMOs out there then just WoW. Some of them are quite difficult.

It seems to be more "hardcore" to hate things and assume that you are better than everyone else at everything.
You have already made a thread like this, different name same argument.
You are hearing the same answers again and again why do bother remkaing threads.
Half the population of MMORPG.com know you dont like WoW cause the instances (raids) have gotten easier and that you wer in a guild which did world first 4 man raids.

But you can continue to play WoW 4 hours a day and claim it is some sort of casual game. It has become a game for people who can't think and plan. EQ on the other hand, that required some skill and coordination.

Just please stop with these threads.
