I read the conquest information and to me it doesnt sound massive at all. 10 pvp instances for the conquest? Thats horrible. I hope i'm wrong so if someone can clarify.

Blame yourself then. No one promised a massive game so no promises broken here. The game is supposed to be fast PVP shooter and it does the job well. If you want massive better stick to older games.

no one claimed it to be massive? it's being publicized as one all over the net. Let me see, this site is called mmorpg with massive in it. It just bothers me since game like planet side is more massive then this and it's nearly a decade old.
this piece of shit shouldnt even be on MMORPG.com .... its FPS with a teeny bit of TF2 at best... DEFINITELY not MMORPG, unless you call the Phantasy star like "waiting area" MMO... lmao

Depends upon your definition. Where did they say seamless massive MMO? please show me the link? massive also means thousand of players playing online at same time, regardless you can see them all at one time or not. Don't complain for something that never existed from beginning.

so any game that offers 10v10 they shouldnt have to charge a monthly fee since this shootout only on a simple map. All it boils down to is unreal tournament with interchanging maps.

Yes thats what it is with a lot more customization, on bigger scale with a lot more players and character progression. Call it MMo or whatever you want but this is not a traditional MMO, if thats what you are looking for. And that doesn't make this game horrible because you personally were looking for something else.
I am beta-ing it. It isn't HORRIBLE, and the only time you have to pay a monthly fee is if you want to participate in AvA.
AvA is a map, with hexigons. You click on the hexigon, and you "bid". The attacking forces have a "bidding" war and whoever has the highest bid ends up being able to attack the hexigon.
Agencys/alliances control hexigons, an alliance all being the same color.
Right now in beta there is pretty much 2 or 3 dominate alliances that control the maps all the time.
The game has promise for a certain nitch of people, but I doubt it will last long. Especially 12.99 a month for basically the same thing you can do without it.

Exactly. people are free to spend their money on whatever they find enjoyable. And only because this game does not suit someone's personal taste does not mean that GA is horrible. Its matter of taste.

But what am I paying money for? Where are my patches ala Planetside, or World of Warcraft? Where is my constant development team working to produce new content and fix bugs. Because a game like Chromehounds offers a lot of players (Visible or not) that are working towards a single goal, with each match affecting the overall population. Or even a game such as Demons Souls, where a player death affects the entire population. In a single player game! Or Steel Battalion: Line of Contact, same principal, but with giant mechs. Every game counts towards the overall population and taking over different parts of the continent. Do you have to pay a monthly fee for any of these games?
Plenty of games offer 10v10 combat with other players also fighting at the same time. plenty of online games(BF2, CoD, ect.) have a level-up system, plenty of games(Steel Battalion, Demons souls, Chrome Hounds) offer you the ability to affect the entire playerbase with your actions. Why dont these games charge a monthly fee, are they all in essence MMO's to you as well?

OH so I see now... so your saying that Modern Warfare 2 is an MMO then since there is a level progression and customization with equipment?? that absurd... has the genre "MMO" become so watered down that we call GA an MMO?? if you think its an MMO, then you really REALLY dont know what a true MMO is :P

Look I understand no one is forcing me to pay a monthly fee, and far be it from me to tell you what to like... but I think over 50% of the MMORPG.com community would agree that this game simply isnt truly an MMO ROLE PLAYING GAME...

Why not ask MMORPG.COM staff? maybe they take your suggestion and remove Guild Wars, Global Agenda,, Warhammer Online etc games from their website? after all they don't fall in your own personal MMO definition.
I 100% agree with Getalife here. So, the game isn't a "MMO" in some peoples deffinition. I consider it an MMO, and I personally enjoy the game. If you don't enjoy the game and don't want to have anything to do with it, then why post here? If you want to know about the game just go to the offical site.

Why do you keep asking what you are getting for $12.99? It is posted right on the offical site what you are getting with the subscription. You are clearly not going to buy it, so why ask?
Also, just because a game doesn't fit your personal deffinition of an "MMO" doesn't mean it should be removed from this site. It is like if you don't like a certain game why bash it?
