I never played DnL, but reading the post and your reply I don't think you are answering properly. He said "this game is worse than Dark and light". Meaning.. today... not this game is worse than Dark and Light was at release, so I'm really unclear why you talk about the DnL issues at launch. They are legendary (but then again MO has not launched)
I don't know if DnL is a better game TODAY than Mortal Online is.

My main complaint was that Briansho was dismissing Zaxxtor out of hand. Xarnthal's original statement that Dark and Light being better than Mortal online does lack any substance to back up that assertion and could be considered trolling.
Admittedly, I compared Mortal Online to the launch of Dark and Light.  This is largely because DnL's bad reputation is largely based on it's ill-fated launch.  I tried to check on the current status of DnL and as far as I can tell it is currently shut down.  The last post on MMORPG.com's DnL forum is from October. The official DnL forum seems to indicate the game is shut down.

I wasn't trying to dismiss anyone. I was just comparing the new MMORPG defense scale with a few posts. I'll probably be doing it more if I notice any damage control going on.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

Sorry about the assumption that you were being dismissive, but it did come across that way.  From the essay...

In short, through writing these two lists, I've learned one thing: don't boil your arguments or defenses down to easy clichés. When you do that, people just gloss over what it is you're legitimately trying to say. Instead, I suggest respecting other people's opinions even when you disagree with them.

Zaxxtor avoided the cliche.  Correlating what he posted with one of these predictable, cliched responses can be illustrative othe the truth behind the cliche or dismissive of the post. With how little you said it was hard to know which way to take it.

I know for a fact that Tasos had promised that everyone that wanted to try DF would get to before spending a dime. - One of the countless LIES made by Tasos and company.

If you actually read it (you didn't), Tasos said: "Darkfall preorders by the way aren't applicable. Our hope for Darkfall is that you won't spend a cent on the game until you've tried it and decided you want to play it."

    Source.

How is "our hope" the same as "we promise"? It's not.

MO's pay-full-price-for-beta tactics are WAY more shady than anything Aventurine ever pulled. Even calling MO beta a beta is deeply dishonest - a large number of features were completely missing and the game was laggy and unstable as, which makes it an ALPHA not a beta.
