This thread is comparing Global Agenda (created by an indie company) to Mortal Online (also an indie company)

Yeah, I have never bough a game becouse it BOX was oh god so complete and had so many pages of paper inside.
I bought MO to support the devs and becouse I believe in their ideas.
If you buy games becouse of their boxes and judge games by their boxes....dunno...gl with it...I guess.

I think I actually like the plain metal box better. Posters and artwork are just wasted on me.

The question was clear as well, why the comparison? It's a box, one has colorful pictures and one doesn't, why would anyone care about that?

Have in mind that Star Vault shouldn't do any boxes. The community talked them into it, and they communicated that this is what you will get. So what's new?
And yes, I like the metal better as well, all this colorish is not for me ^^
Are these both the collectors editions or is it just GA?
Its whats inside that counts but I have to say the MO box doesnt look very professional. If they release a box like that one can only wonder how many other things are done half-ass.

Okay just finished reading. I can find nothing in there about the rights of a box. Speaking philosophically, in order to abuse a box (in this case as physical abuse isn't yet possible over the internet - which on occasions such as this is a shame) the box must be able to 'suffer' abuse verbally. Now I can't be certain but I'm pretty sure the box feels very little.
As for the trolling maybe its you who needs to read the 'rules'. The topic is valid and the comments are light hearted (or they were until you appeared). I was very happy with my MO box and the picture doesn't do it justice, its teh secsy irl.

Hrm odd...some reviews have Microsoft Games Studios listed as publisher on Global Agenda, but hard to find anything about it.
Ah, Private and Independent company... *sigh* I guess some articles must be mis-informed... unless there is a big "Microsoft Game Studios" logo popping up in Global Agenda
Honestly.. if a company is indy or a huge one like EA... it really shouldn't matter.
It costs X to buy game box A
It costs X to buy game box B
Contents should be similar... similar value for similar cost. Now if Box B were 1/2 price then I would understand the discrepancy but that is not the case here.

Publisher vs no publisher. That is the difference. A publisher takes care of marketing and ordering boxes but can interfere with the direction of the game and make demands. Not having a publisher means no Mortal Online adds on every gaming website, no mass produced-cheap to make boxes and less money overall.
