Looking for something different that will run on a lwo spec PC, try Eve online. It is scfi based and not fantasy and offers 14 day trial, after which, if you like it you can buy the game for a small amount i think €5 and then start paying the sub.

Eve has masses of content and players.

WoW is the best fantasy based MMO in the market. Lots are burnt out playing it already and there are a few  who don't like it. But majority do. It too has masses of content and players.

    My two cents........

Unarguably the truth. If anyone says otherwise, thats just opinion (and we all have our opinions). You may like other games more, and you may even strongly dislike these games. But it stands, they are the best. Quality, content, etc. etc.

    Darkfall.

Nothing is even close! And that is not even a opinion, it is fact! Anyone can see for themself.

Good list but OP mentioned low specs.I would have loved it if he posted his specs so we can tell.

I would say a "low spec" system would not play AoC and barely play EQ2.You might get away with lower setting on LOTRO but should be able to play eve just fine.

WoW ofc will run on basically anything and is still the most popular and most polished mmorpg out there 5 years down the line.

Dont play AOC with a low spec system. Check your machine is as good as games recommend requirements, not the minimum requirements.

    Fixed.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

     WoW if your PC sucks.

They all have free trials.  Or most of them.  Check em out.

What's the best MMORPG FOR ME at the moment?
Darkfall. Nothing even close. Is it biased opinion? Sure it is, like everyone else in this thread. People have different tastes.

Asking this question you are going to get a lot of different views, mainly because everyone has different opinions about what makes a game the best.  Numbers?  Subscriptions?  Open world?  Linear?

My number one is and probably always will be Ultima Online.  Mainly because I doubt we will ever get a game that had the perfect feel to it like UO did.  Even if they were to make a new Ultima Online 2, it still would not be the same.  Games and gamers have changed through the years.

    1.  Ultima Online

    2. World of Warcraft

    3. Age of Conan

    4. EVE Online

Of course this is my view.

    Darkfall.

For me also Fallen Earth, but wouldn't really suggest it to someone looking for a MMORPG to be played on a low spec system, tho my system these day's might be considered med-range tho at the time build for gaming, I still max out all settings with very smooth performance, but doubt I would play the game on a true low spec system.

Lot of the new games don't run on lower end PC's.  Hence you are looking at older games like Wow, Lotro or one of the f2p games like Perfect World.

  • roamieroamie Member Posts: 115

WoW is still the most fun but the Dungeon Finder has broken the concept of an open world. Everquest 2 looks great and has great Quests but is a little instanced. LoTR is solid in all aspects but Mines of Moria bore me. Vanguard the Crownprince is way too buggy and laggy but has the biggest potential . So I would say it is WoW for most fun and EQ2 for best Questing. LoTR is the best MMO from the technical aspect. If you havent played it yet - play LoTR.

wow! This is more or less my take on it to. I haven't played WoW but by it's success and continued success I would have to agree with it being up there. I would switch it out with UO in my list though :) Still playing UO and loving it.

I believe the question was about the "best" MMOG. Not the most popular. By that measure Hanna Montana is the "best" music you could listen to. Its kinda sad that so many people associate popular with good.

I think people sharing their opinion is clearly implied by the question asked.

Fallen Earth is clearly the best MMORPG.

Seriously, what in the blazing pits of hell is hanna montana?
