OK. This has been an epic day. First we get the news that MO is ready for launch.. and just minutes before I got a package from Sweden.. guess what it contained? Yup... Mortal Online boxed edition!
Yes.. I cancelled my order in Dec and got a refund in January. They claimed to have mailed the games out in early January.. but I just received a boxed copy.. TODAY! Thats 2 months mailing time!!
I have already sent them a message to support telling them I got the game today after I already got a refund... but that if they want to send a SASE I will be happy to send it back. I'll let you know if I get a reply!

It's got a DVD.. I assume it's from a 3 month old client but have no desire to find out :-)
I honestly am floored on so many levels... I don't know which is the worse issue:
A) That they sent me the game 2 months after I got a chargeback on my card

Although.. in fairness the box is actually pretty nice... if it actually had a working DVD in it and some documentation it would have been something decent. I was surprised that it was in one piece after all I had read about it.

Well.. I didn't get a direct reponse (no email) back, but they did close my acct so I assume that means they don't want their box back...

Yep, but it took them about 7 months to finally ban my account after I did a charge back
They had (and still have) plenty time to do it before launching the game. Rush wasn't really necessary.

I wonder if, when the game is out and people start subscribing, they will also ban everyone that stops their subscription. I wouldnt be surprised.
If you stand VERY still, and close your eyes, after a minute you can actually FEEL the universe revolving around PvP.
Got mine today, wondering whats up with the broken action figures/statuettes.
That would be a completely different issue to be honest. It makes sense to ban an account tied to a refund, as otherwise that account could possibly log in after paying the monthly fee. I highly doubt they would give you much of a problem reinstating the account say you purchased the product and wanted to apply the key to your existing account.

Who also take lion's share of incomes, and change game's mechanics and content to fill taste of masses.

Maybe they're banning you for unsubscribing out of spite? Seems weird whatever the reason. You may want to resub. like in other mmo's most ppl have the opportunity to resub and old account incase new content/expansions happen. Sort of reminds me of the Soup Nazi episode of Sienfeld.

I would not doubt it. But I do not think so. If someone was to get banned, they can just make another account when they wanted to buy it in the future, if ever.

Though by not banning your account, and by some luck they actually get MO in a good playable state, and it actually succeeds (I know big "if" I know!), what if you wanted to use your old account to resub... or would you have to create a new account.
From their standpoint, you'd think they'd leave your account open incase you came back perhaps months later, after they've may (or who knows, may not) have ironed out more of their bugs, improving on a more robust code.

Heh.. I know what you're saying but there is zero chance I would ever give these guys my money again. When I have to go through my credit card company to get my money back because the company won't even respond to Emails..zero chance of ever getting a second shot.
