I'm just curious to see how many are left on this forum that still play this game.

     Agreed, because out of curiosity I answered "no" so I could see the results. So your poll is now fudged up, at least by one person off. Sorry. :(

    you should also add a if you quit will you ever go back with a yes or no.

    Yep I would bet there were plenty of us who researched the game before trying it and never bought it.

    The title of the thread is "Who STILL plays STO? That means I'm only interested in seeing who has tried the game and is no longer playing.

    Passing the time on the forums debating until cancellation kicks in.

    Let me guess: The post you were agreeing with was a negative one towards the game or cryptic.

    I still play mostly cuz my boss plays but also because I wanna fly in a sovereign class, after that I don't know. 

    Kinda surprising how much fun you can have playing a game like this if you have friends playing with you.

    No. I got Admiral 5 the last week of February and had completed all content that wasn't broken or not fully implemented (The Big Dig, The assault of DS9, etc.)

    Will I go back? No. I'm not big on themepark games in the first place and when one can't keep up with content so that I'm not milling around or not logging in for a week or three waiting for new content, well, I don't see a need in paying for that.

    Will I play another Cryptic title. I seriously doubt it. I personally think it is possible to make a sandbox game in the time it took them to make STO with tools such as I have described in other threads that would allow me to make my own content. If they did this, I might entertain the idea of trying it. Other than that, I won't be a customer of theirs unless I found employment in gaming media and it was my job.

    I quit, it was just.....lacking. It had no substance to keep me wanting to try to power through the suck.

    I voted no, but I never played it and doubt I ever will.

    I voted no as well without playing the game to see the results. I also have a feeling a lot more will do it, so this poll is broken now. Could have even added a "just want to see results" option.

    There's no way to create a poll that isn't skewed. Even if I had put that option there, people who have hated this game since the beginning would have voted no. But I will remember that option for future reference. One thing we do know for sure, there are VERY few yes votes which means a very large portion of this board is NOT playing this game.

    So far, only 13 out of 72 people on this board are still playing this game. That's very telling.

     Just to clarify my No vote for you; I played the game from the start of closed beta to the end of open beta, but did not buy the game nor play it past the end of closed beta; my beta experience taught me all I needed to know.

    Nope, never even bought it. Played through  the Open Beta and realised I didn't want to pay for it.

    I'm assuming my "no" vote is valid, I did play, just wouldn't pay.

    I can't imagine anyone bothering to make a STO emulator!

    Anyway, other than the missing classes E&B actually had content. lol

    Just a guess but I would think the target market of trekkies is still playing.  Don't think anyone including Cryptic expected people not living their lives in federation uniforms was going to stick around.  So yes, people still watching old episodes, old movies, reading the books, attending fan faires... still playing.  MMO hoppers... no.

    Tried a buddy key. Stopped playing before it ran out.  So, never bought it, but did play it, and not still playing it.

    Just hit no. I guess 50% of peoples that voted no, never played it so the poll is inaccurate already.
