Granted, not a very good one given that I dont have millions of dollars and I would be the only developer but I wouldnt be doing it for the outcome more for the process. as a developer I enjoy programming but as it turns out I rarely pull myself away from Darkfall or Fallen Earth long enough to commit much time to it outside of work.
Please do not respond to me, even if I ask you a question, its rhetorical.
Nope, would keep playing mount&Blade: Warband and any other single player till something worth my money comes around
now: GW2 (11 80s). Dark Souls 2. future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord. "Bro, do your even fractal?" Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
Old farts would have a heart attack, younger new players wouldn't know any difference, and I would shrug and either play Dawn of War II, Medieval 2: Total War mods, Call of Duty, or... maybe... WoW. I'd have to see what Blizzard would do with no competition.
No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-
There are no MMOs except WoW? Hmm, don't worry, I'll fix that single handedly! I'll be busy for the next 3-4 years making something rather medicore. Hope ya don't all mind the wait.
Besides, I'm too absorbed in SC2 to really care anyways. After, it bores me I'm sure Diablo 3 will be out. When that bores me, the mystery MMO is bound to be out.
Forever looking for employment. Life is rather dull without it.

Hey now, just because I was around for the Golden Age of MMOs doesn't mean I'm an old fart. I'm 20, but I remember good MMOs when they were still Massive persistant virtual worlds.
Depends... if they made it more sandboxy by that time, I would probably play it.
I think it's a pretty well done game - but now it needs to redevelop its world again... if they got some player-based structuring, guild-based territorial warfare going on, I think it could be pretty great.
At its current state though? No.
I am playing EVE and it's alright... level V skills are a bit much.

But... WoW doesn't ever build on their formula. That would take work and maybe some good game design. They prefer to just add achievements and vanity pets, and raise the level cap. Grinding is fun.
WTF does the United States of America have to do with this? holly crap you are equating McDonalds with the USA. Oh that is very telling.
could be the spelling, they failed to change that for the UK (that would be ENGLISH market, since americans speak American English).
So it's Harbour, not harbor. It's Armour, not armor, honour not honor... etc
look it's not our fault webster couldn't spell.. okay.. he had issues with u's and c&s's (defense, defence etc)
In this hypothetical situation, the entire games market would probably have become stagnant..... gamers would have more to deal with.... plus the giant flaming balls hitting the earth, and those strange four horsemen circling peoples houses.....

I read your blogs and now im dissapointed that you play WoW after what you said, how mmo's should be made that you would play them.
Now i know you play WoW, contradicts your whole opinion from those blogs pitty, im truely alone then i would never play themeparks and specially bad ones like WoW hehe:(
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
No reason to play it when it isn't the only one, no reason to play it if it weren't.
I'd be let down, but I'd rather do anything else with my time and money than play WoW. I'd likely just get more shooter centric again as I was in the days before EQ and the MMORPGs I've played since. No big, more money for a bigger variety of games, maybe even start collecting comics again.
if it was the last one i would stick to my CSS and DODS or other FPS games.. maybe throw in AOE2 or DOW/DOW2 for kicks...
cause honestly the day i install wow on any system of mine.. it better because a girl made me do it for payment of service rendered...
LMAO!
tho i find it odd that people keep asking what ifs for a world of only wow... like wow is all that great or important... WoW is the least great or important game on the planet i could use the toilet and make a better game from that then wow/blizzard ever could. sorry... dont mean to burst your bubble but i find wow lacking in all mannor of actual skilled enjoyment...
gameplay is rehash of all the past games(BS all you want... fantasy is fantasy) and PVP... LMAO there is no pvp...
They already make enough money in a year to buy a country. Imagine then!
But seriously, WotLK, NEVAAAAAAR. However, BC or Vanilla I would. And if they pull off Cat then I guess lol
Playing: *sigh* back to WoW -------- Waiting for: SW:TOR, APB, WoD --------- Played and loved: Eve and WoW -------- Played and hated: WoW:WotLK, Warhammer, every single F2P

That's stupid, you shouldn't hate WoW just because its successful.
You should hate WoW because it doesn't deserve its success, because it didn't innovate at all, and because it killed the entire MMORPG genre.
If all MMOs but WoW were closed down I'd stop wasting my time and stick entirely to other genres, or find good free shards of Dark Age of Camelot
I would still have Battlefield BC2
I would create one.

I don't play it now so I'd feel no ill effects.

I think I could make the leap. I've had fun with my limited time in WoW but in the end there are other games that give me more of what I want.
But if in some magical alternate world WoW was it I think I could amuse myself with it.

I'd probably finally buy a 360. Either that start an antique gun collection.

I'd just have to quit mmos, I had fun in wow for a while, but the quest tedium got boring as hell
My god has horns.... nah, I don't think he is real either.
Im almost positive that we would all play it.... im going back to wow for a while waiting on FFXIV to come out since im bored of LoTRo now.......

What if people stopped asking hypothetical questions on this website that will absolutely not come true?
MMOs played: Too many
Watch List: FFXIV, CoH:GR, GW2, SWTOR, TERA, Earthrise
Time to take care of some business... and be ominous while doing it.
This statement is false.

You all need to learn to spell.

Possibly but not likely. Wow just doesn't work for me, nothing against it but I would probably play some other genre instead then.
I've had my fill of WoW. I'd simply stop playing MMOs, and focus on the pseudo-MMOs which are available. (D2, BOI, Borderlands, etc.)
